Worth 60$ but I will definitely need some maroon paint to get those helmet details to pop out. Might need Black and Orange as well to make him more toon accurate.

Nice review. So they fixed the shin panels. Is anyone gonna dare put it in the Takara trailer to see if that issue is fixed? Also I'm guessing the spring foot thing is fixed. Glad I piked this guy up and it will be delivered today. I'm almost tempted to get the 2nd run of the Takara version, but I'll make do with my original.

Thanks for the review. It's good to see he can hold his rifle now. I had to add some clear nail polish for my Takara version to do that. Offshoot is actually a lot better articulated then I expected to.

The spoiler is still painted plastic, so I doubt that issue would be hammered out.

Glad someone found my Buddy Jason's Review.. I told him he needed to get it done!

Mine arrived yesterday. I haven't transformed it. But I did notice the shin panels and his chest don't match up as well as on my Takara one. Not a big deal, but doesn't immediately strike me as a step forward (although either through luck or me just being careful, my Takara one only really has minor issues with the fin and the trailer- I haven't had other QC issues except the latch on his shoulders for the fin- which works differently on the new one, but still doesn't actually work).

Speaking of the trailer, given how Takara's has chromed wheels and this guy doesn't (and some other color variances), I'm not sure there's much point in putting him in the trailer (besides, for all we know the tolerances may have been off in the trailer rather than the car).

I do have to say I like the color changes more on the US Rodimus (first time I've EVER preferred the US version), although both have things I prefer on one versus the other. I almost didn't open him, but I'm glad I did!

Got it! Love it! He will definitely be used as Hotrod. I can't believe they were insane enough to include a sticker sheet for the are "arrows". Also what's with the con sign?

Really appreciate the review. Originally I didn't have a good feeling about the gray colored face, looking at him on video, it seems all right :)  can't wait to get him.

Thanks xion14 for finding the video!

I like the metallic gray better than the color on Takara's.

Still not feeling the red legs with the arrows... may pick up the second run of the Takara version instead.

Cool. Glad to see we're getting the MP-09 2.0 mold for this. I'm definitely getting this. I still might get the Takara (revised) one down the road. I'd keep the Hasbro one as Hot Rod while making the Takara one Rodimus.

After watching that video, the Hasbro version seems just as screwed up as the Takara one.

    - Back still can't clip.
    - Shin panels are still loose.
    - Hands are still screwed up and can barely hold weapons (if at all).
    - Chest does not appear to properly lock in place and flips up when arms are moved.

The only positive difference appears to be that the ratcheting joints are softer which would make the figure much easier to transform.

And of course, the Targetmaster which is pretty nifty but I can't say that he is worth buying another MP Rodimus for unless it's cheap.

Thankfully I havent had many of the serious QC issues w my Takara Rodimus. I also rarely play with him keeping him "displayed only" for fear of breaking.

I really like the darker more metalic looking face as well, and am considering getting him to display as hot rod. I've kinda been planning that all along:D  hopefully when/if i spot him I'll have the proper funds.

I'm still on the fence on whether to get the Takara or Hasbro version but thanks for the link. I am one step closer to making that decision.
