Highly underrated Disney cult fave that Siskel and Ebert gave two thumbs up and was a hit in April of 95.

I saw this movie when i was 13 with one of my best friends as i grew up with Goof Troop since i was 11 and this movie hit the spot as it appealed to teens besides kids and gave the mid-90's tweens who saw this movie in theaters or on video a good moral about parents. Had a good soundtrack by Tevin Campbell mainly that awesome I2I song and good laughs, i had the hots for Roxanne at that age including some wild fantasies about her as a teen. I still think she is cute.

Pauly Shore was quite likable in this movie as a voice mainly as Bobby who was your typical surfer kind of animated dude.

    Who remembers this movie?

I agree, the music is pretty good for a non-tentpole movie. Its also a really nice movie of its own accord.

I still lokve this film even to this day. Some of the shots were so cinematic and well done that it matures up the film quality a bit. Still fun and exciting even to this day 9/10 I2I's.

I liked it also. saw it on the big-screen. It had the mickey cartoon runaway brain in front of it.

Shame that awful direct to video sequal ruined it. It more or less killed the whole max/roxanne love each other thing.

I thought it was terrible. Never saw it when it was released and watched it last year. There were a lot of cringe worthy moments that make me hate the 90's.

It was a good film, but it got released with Runaway Brain attached over here. Which was a million times better.

This was one of my favorites as a kid. I watched it about a week ago for some nostalgia, and I still think it holds up. Even though I'm much older there are plenty of parts I actually still find funny.

There is but one thing I dislike about this film, the animators chose not to fully call back to the series it was based on by failing to give even one miniscule cameo of the characters of Pistol and Peg, I could understand where Waffles, the pet cat, would have probably died by the time Max was a teen, but I can't see Peg leaving Pete for anything like a Divorce.

They could have just had a simple photo inside of Pete's R-V showing Peg and Pistol and I would have been happy. As it stands, much like any number of other Television only characters, Disney continues to ignore some of the controbutions from the late 80's and early 90's that really helped keep them afloat as a company with Animation.

But even in-spite of my disliking that lack of cameo or mention of two prominent characters from the televsion series this is really a great movie, Extremely Goofy Movie has it's merits too, though it suffers from typical Disney Sequelitis in that, in a way, Max sort of doesn't seem to have retained the lesson he learned from the first film. Since he's still embarrased to the max by his father. :lol

It is a good movie and I remember it fondly. Looking back I get sentimental, as I always appreciated the father/son dynamic since my own dad was never around.

I really think this paragraph should've ended a sentence or two eariler.

The makers of the film said they left peg and pistol out to make it more of a father and son film. They said peg and pistol stayed home. We just didn't see them.
