who wants to see gi joe and transformers in the same movie
You basically did. Call Lennox and Epps Duke and Roadblock instead and you basically have it.
I'd like to see a good GI Joe movie first before an official crossover, but I don't see a reason it couldn't work, even if only as something animated and direct-to-dvd.
You spoke for me.
thats it who wants to see a crossover transformers movie
I'd like to see an Avengers EMH/Transformers Animated cross-over, a Rescue Bots/MLP, And a Red vs Blue/Beast Wars crossover. But that's just a stupid fan boy dream, with no rhythm or reason to these.
Why Beast Wars? I think it looks more like it could fit in Prime.
Waspinator: Zzzzon of a glitch!
Megatron to Optimus: You killed Waspinator you Predacon killing fucktard!
I suppose a proper GI Joe/Transformers crossover would be the only way for people to stop complaining about too much human screen time.
So all the transformers would be crossovers, like the Dodge Journey, Saturn Outlook, and BMW X6? A neat idea, but might be hard to tell them all apart.
I would like to see one but with the Joes being headmaster pilots . I am truly obsessed with the Headmasters and Targetmasters
Imagine if Michael Bay and Stephen Sommers teamed up.....May God have mercy on us all.
Animated movie..maybe. But not live action on the big screen
I agree comparing the two movies we got a far better version of Duke than the GI Joe movie did. Would not be too hard to name NEST members with roles just like Joe characters like Stalker. The only thing we were short was Cobra.
Since both franchises are owned by Hasbro and since Paramount is making both film franchises the only thing really lacking is Hollywood seeing that the concept could be really fun.
Who knows with Avengers showing how a hero team up can make loads of money perhaps the idea of more hero team up movies on the big screen is a closer concept than it has been in the past.
They already made a good GI Joe movie.
How did you get to see the second GI Joe movie before the rest of us?
They made a GI Joe movie, I'm just not sure that I'd call it good.
But we need a good live action one.
That was the one I saw.
I don't. Transformers always get the shaft in crossovers. And so far they've got the shaft when they're the only name in the movie title too since BayFormers always feels the need to create more and more human characters to concentrate on in the films rather than the TFs themselves.
It would somewhat legitimise having so many human main characters but I would probably still complain because no doubt the GI Joe humans would get more screentime and development than the Transformers. It would probably be more like 'GI Joe and their talking vehicles: The Movie'.
I'm not much a GI Joe fan, although I did watch the last movie, so really there's no benefit to me personally for shoving them into a movie with Transformers. Obviously movies aren't made with me specifically in mind before any smug someone says that.
But if Hasbro aren't willing to do a TF/GI Joe crossover toyline it's probably even less likely they'd be up for a crossover movie. I like Star Wars and I like Transformers, but I'm not interested in the TF/SW figures because apart from a Star Wars vehicle that changes into a robot of a Star Wars character, there's very little actually Transformers about it to me. Doing that crossover actually put me off buying the figures because of the way it was handled. Hasbro didn't gain sales from me by combining two franchises I like and I reckon Hasbro probably feel somewhat like that when it comes to the idea of doing a TF/GIJ crossover line. I'm sure I read somewhere they're not fond of the idea because it would dilute both ideas when it works well enough already as two separate entities.
You already did for three movies and they were shit. I want a transformers film about the title characters.
Something else we have to consider is the power level of GI Joe characters like Snake Eyes. There seems to be a tendency for creative teams to make Snake Eyes something more than human so if the Decepticons can't stand against an everyman like Sam do they really have a chance against an almost super human ninja/commando like Snake Eye?
In complete agreement about the Star Wars/Transformers crossover toy line. When the line was announced I was excited about the prospect. Then I saw that the toys were just going to be Star Wars mechs and not a proper Transformers character to be found anywhere. Not even a case where you could maybe make them into new Transformers characters but the Star Wars characters are so vain that they need mechs who look themselves. Somehow it would kill Yoda's vanity to pilot a mech without his face.
Just to throw in one more minor problem the live action GI Joe films haven't exactly been hitting on the look of the classic GI Joe vehicles so it would be Transformers who turn into generic near future military vehicles.
