I was poking about on Chinese Websites and found this HERE : ???TOYSPIE | ????-????????? as I'd not seen it before and the post was dated 14th January I thought I'd share in case it's new and as it's got it's own box I assume it's not something that comes specifically under a Radicons heading.
Is it a find from 2006 someone is saying they got recently then & not a new (faux) reissue of the same design - My han Chinese isn't up to reading that text ? Anyway it's quite an interesting piece new or not. ----------- I Hope you are feeling better Venksta.
This is an old model kit that was released, I believe, at Wonderfest some years back. I have two of them, the first of which I bought probably two or three years ago. Sorry, but not new.
I kind of half remember it now i'm reminded - wasn't it very expensive like $80.00+ ? I do not think it's something I've seen often though (which is why I was not sure if that was a new or reissued item or not) - I don't think I have ever seen one painted Did they have a Transformers official exclusive in 2006 at Wonderfest ? I remember the White Arcee and the unreleased Black Convoy.. Not so sure about the others now. It's not always easy to remember which are the WF ones and which ones are Hyber Hobby or other magazine exclusives and which ones are Tokyo Toyshow ones so I'd not be surprised if I have miss-remembered the odd item.
This was released as an official third party product at Wonderfest, with a one day license from Takara. But the product itself is an actual garage kit, that a fan produced themselves.
I remember this one. The torso was inspired by the KT series Optimus Prime bust wasn't it? I ought to add this to our Resources section if anyone's got more info on it. Pretty sure I missed it back when.
