VII will not be remade in HD for the foreseeable future. Too resource intensive. It'd have to be built from the ground up, by which point, they're pretty much making a complete Final Fantasy game from scratch (minus the basic script. Which'd surely get a major overhaul anyways).

So just like all these other HD remasters coming out, the PS2 entries are the way to go. The quality of the assets are there. They can just tweak the textures a bit and optimize the graphic rendering processes for the much more powerful PS3 platform, and they're good to go.

I hope this is a jumping off point for more HD remasters, and we get HD Kingdom Hearts releases soon. I want to play those games so badly.

But yeah, I'll get this too. Missed out on the whole PS2 era, so now I can fill in the gaps in my FF playthroughs.

I'm good with this. X isn't my favorite, but it's far from the worse and was enjoyable throughout.

Tidus's annoying voice aside (hope they just replace it), X was probably the best of the next gen FF's. VII's characters were fun but story was nowhere as deep as X.

Of course VI and IV are still my favorites by a longshot, but X is a very close third.

Excellent. The best FF in HD. I was waiting for this. Between this and FFXI, definitely going to buy a Vita now.

A far better choice than VII, in all honesty. Even if VII got an HD remake, you'll hear constant screams of bloody murder and childhood rape, due to all the changes and things that'll be different.

I would prefer Final Fantasy VI or VII. But VII is my favourite.

Yeah, X was as streamlined as it could get. Cinematic, walk, fight. While that could be said of some Final Fantasy, I found myself doing a lot of other things on VI and VII than just that. I watched the ending to 10 on a DVD because I couldn't bring myself to finish it. More power for fans of the game though. It did have amazing music.

I might be in the minority, but I really liked X.
The game was streamlined, to be sure, but I liked the story.

The blitzball side game was incredibly boring though.
The exact opposite of the blitzball cinematics, in fact.

Was really hoping for VI and/or VII. Even IV or IX. X isn't bad, but its "world" have been done and over-done already.

VII's story is not as deep as X...? Did I hear this right?

Not happy to see this. I wasn't overly thrilled with X. But, I didn't hate it. Problem is, that the majority would love to see VII done in HD.

The funny thing about this was that his Japanese voice was pretty decent. I hope they give us the option to toggle between Japanese and English voices.

Final Fantasy X, weirdly enough, is the Final Fantasy that I'm most fascinated with, but have never played. I didn't have a PS2 at that time, so I ended up simply watching each and every cutscene and FMV in the game. So, I know the entire story, but I have no heck of an idea how the game is like. Strange.

I liked the game, but I got stuck very early in the game and then later just continued with XII. That's the first time I just skipped a FF game. Except for those online games of course, I never played them. But I mean the real FF games.

I loved XII, and I know I'm in the minority on that one.

I was extremely hyped about X. I even played the demo a million times before the game came out. But I was really disappointed in how linear it was. It was too much for me. I remember it was the time when I worked at Microsoft Games and everyone was making fun of the game and the studio, but I was defending it. But then I realized that they were right. It was one Cinematic after another, tied by battles and walking from point A to point B. XIII isn't much different.

I think XII was great too! I didn't have time to finish it due to having to go to college, but if they ever re-release it one day, I just might.

I always considered X more like a cinematic, interactive novel rather than an open-ended game. Then again, I've never actually PLAYED the game, to my embarrassment. I'll be darned though, if I did not say that X had simply breathtaking aesthetics and music.
