Hey guys I was checking out pics of the G1 devastator and the movie devastator and granted they should have kept the old look. I mean the movie one looks like some oversized robo-dog w/balls LOL The G1 was a super tall and awsome robot... The movie one looks like his pet!

    G1 one
    [IMG]
    ROTF one!

Another thing is what is the difference between blackout and grindor other than a repaint? To me they are the same I didn't even know they had two until someone told me that blackout died in the first movie and grindor got his head split. I saw a legends class grindor first on ebay and I thought "look they made a girl version to blackout!" LOL For real from far those designs looked like flowers!

Wait wait wait! one more Sorry!!! whos stronger megatron or optimus?

Next What happened to barricade?!!! Some say he morphed into sideways because of their similarities but I dont believe that!

Finally I think that the makers of transformers (aka micheal bay and other) should have used the plot rom the 1986 one wouldn't it be awesome to have unicron, magnus, and rodimus?!!!

Oh one more will there be transformers 3?... I know some of these questions have been asked before but I am still left in question when I read the threads! LOL Thanks guys!

    devs one i cant awnser

gridnor is a complete separete character and gridnor is male

for whso stornger i Do not know but in tf1 megs was stronger so its him

Barricade is alive, and sidewyas is a diffrent character, Just Buy and check the reing of stasrcream (issue 1 and 3), Alliance (Issue 1 and 4) and Tales of the fallen (issue 1) comic books and you see barricade alive and well, sicne these comcis shows what happened before rotf, Aslo buy the veiled threat novel sicne barricade is there too

Cant awnser but i think soem fans would have a diffrent plot and nto a recreation of the 86 film

AND YES THERES A TF3, IT IS COMING IN JULY 1, 2011

Love the look of that G1 Devastator, comparing the two like that it does seem like the movie one is rather lacking.

There is a third film in the works but all we know are things like the director, two of the writers are not coming back, and the projected release date. I don't think we are going to see many leaks until the summer or fall when they want to start building some buzz.

I'm not really a big fan of combiners to begin with, but at least when they're a jumbled mess of parts, like movie Devastator, a whole bunch of random wheels kibble from nowhere isn't as noticeable.

It's a different interpretation of the character, as are almost all of the other movie designs. Granted a lot more liberties were taken on him than say Optimus, but he's still a huge Constructicon combiner who destroys things, in a different way.

Grindor is indeed male. The difference is a slightly different head on Grindor as well as Grindor being a different helicopter (the Super Stallion) than Blackout (the Pave Low).

Watch their film battles, you decide.

According to the comics, he's still kicking.

Maybe, but it would be inherently unrealistic and would require a massive budget. Plus there would not be enough humans.

    Yes, July 1st 2011.

    *Sigh*

Aside from the aforementioned budgetary concerns, are you expecting people (most of whom probably haven't been exposed to Transformers since G1) to like the movie when they're just dropped into the movie with no accompanying backstory?

And no, "It is the year 2005" doesn't cut it.

Me too. Cuz if you just look at the two, ROTF Devs is a lot bigger then the G1 version, it looks like.

Movie Devastator could probably EAT the G1 versions alive considering he's made out of much MUUUCH bigger vehicles.

1: Personally I like G1 Dev better, but the whole "G1 design vs. movie design" thing has been done to death.
2: Other than the paint job, there really is no difference between Grindor and Blackout as far as I know, since he was killed before we got a chance to know him. I guess the choppers are the movieverse Seekers (not the find the Matrix kind).
3: I think Megatron is stronger based on the fight in movie 1.
    4: Barricade is alive.
5:As much as I like G1 TFTM, it wouldn't work in the movieverse.

Bigger does not necessarily mean better. ROTF Devs only took one hit (by a man made weapon no less) to go down, where G1 Devs was able to take more punishment than his movie counterpart. I also doubt G1 Devs he's ever been taken down by the humans.
If those two were to fight; I'd bet my money on G1. He has the better track record.

Blocky and mess? I think you contradicted yourself in the statement.
If anything's a 'mess' it would be ROTF Devs.

Actually if you think about it; G1 Devs green and purple like the Hulk. LOL!
