What toys do you think would work well as animated toy?

For me I think that remold/recolor the cybertron breakdown into a cybertron mode rodimus.

And mirage would look decent as animated.

    Any suggestions?

Ditto, the Unicron Trilogy seems "blocky" to me. The Animated toys are sleek and "elongated" to me

Edit: just looked at Armada/Cyb Blurr, he seems ok to me, and I didn't notice that we were talking about Classics, so maybe Jetfire or Megs could work?

Well, in terms of aesthetic, Classics Mirage definately, and possibly Jetfire would work well with classics (looking forward to having quasi macross battles with Cla. Jetfire and Anim. Starscream).

Cybertron Noizemaze/Sideways (the jet thing) is similarly sleek looking. And possibly Cyb. Crumplezone (reminds me of Bulkhead actually)

Only one that I can really say would work in Animated from those lines is Classics Mirage.

I'd agree that the styles of ... pretty much ANY past TF line doesn't really match Animated well enough to convincingly fit in, but I'll play the game anyway. (mostly going with toys that have somewhat unusual or cartoonish proportions)

Classics Mirage (tiny head, but fun proportions and pulls off a lot of dynamic poses)

Energon Grimlock (Big arms, narrow hips, big feet, caveman brow-ridge, but we already have a Grimlock on the way)

Cybertron Crumplezone/Dark Crumplezone (built like a gorilla with a trapjaw chin - are we sure he's not an Animated toy already? :)  )

(funny, when I first saw the thread I went "oh great, another 'which toys fit in CLASSICS?' thread." :)  )

I'm more interested in Animated toys that would look good with Classics and A/E/C figures.

I wish we could get a clear picture Animated toy Ratchet's face.

I can't see any of them working - it's a totally different aesthetic...

The only thing I can think of that might work is Energon Rodimus as the new Rodimus Prime. Even then it's a bit of a stretch. Plus energon rodimus SUCKS.

I can't see any of the older stuff 'working' in the animated line, but I can see some of the animated line working with older stuff.

Heck, Animated Starcream would be just like every other TF if he didn't have that giant chin of doom...
