A 1950 instructional video on how to eat dinner with your family.

I originally saw this as a short on MST3K, but it's presented here without the commentary, which is available elsewhere on YouTube.

That's one of my favorite MST3K shorts, alongside Mr. B Natural.

I just watched the MST3K clip.

    "Father, I'm dating a negro."

Of the "I can't f***ing believe that was meant to be taken seriously" shorts that MST3K parodied, probably the one that amazed me the most was the "young women exploring careers" one. The level of near-forceful domestication and "women need to know their place" was impressive.

It's hard to believe that sexual inequality of such a large magnitude existed until you see a video like that. Boy, white men sure are a pack of assholes.

"A violent argument erupts over whose day was more pleasant!"

Yeah, that's why I linked to the non-MST3K version of this one - the commentary, while hilarious, isn't even necessary.

    *sigh*... Yeah.

At least we're assholes with fighter planes, though. That's gotta make up for something.

"Father feigns eating, draws Junior out, then disowns him!"

Man, I hadn't watched MST3K in years. Good stuff.

The Shorts were always the best part of MST3k. The actual movie could start dragging on and on, but the shorts were...short. :D

    Gee Mr B. You're hot.
