Night time at Autobot base, and while Prime and his troops are recharging, a clandestine meeting is occurring. Prowl: "OK, here's the data crystal with the misinformation. Make sure it gets to Megatron himself, and not one of his lackies." Punch: "Don't worry, Megatron said he would come alone." Prowl: "And you believe him? Look, just take care of yourself." But Prowl and Punch aren't the only ones awake... Punch: "well, I hope this thing is worth it." Cliffjumper: "where's Punch going with that data crystal at this time of night? I better keep an optic on him." As Punch transforms and leaves the base for the rendezvous point, Cliffjumper follows... And in the desolate wasteland Cliffjumper watches, hidden behind a rock as the Blue car he trailed changes shape, not into the familiar form of Punch, but rather a Decepticon he has never seen before. Megatron:"Ahh, Counterpunch, I was beginning to think you wouldn't show. You have the crystal?" Counterpunch: "Of course I do. Here. All planned Autobot troop movements, supply Inventories, defensive and offensive capabilities, and experimental weapons schematics." Megatron:"Excellent work, this should give us what we need to finally crush the Autobots once and for all!!!" Cliffjumper: "I can't believe this! That traitor is selling us out!" Megatron: "Hmm, are you sure you wasn't followed, Counterpunch?"

"No, no, that will not be necessary" For unbeknownst to Cliffjumper, Megatron did not come alone, a fact he will soon learn... Before Cliffjumper can get a shot at Megatron, Ravage has him pinned. Swiftly changing to his jet mode, Megatron rushes to the scene, leaving Counterpunch to ponder what he should do. "Information and a prisoner. Not a bad night's work, eh Ravage." gloats Megatron. "You may have got information from that traitor, but I'm not going to sing for you Bucket head!" Cliffjumper screeches in defiance. Later at the Autobot base, Prowl receives a transmission. "Prowl, this Punch on secure channel 19.5, please respond." "This is Prowl here, you should have been back at base three hours ago, what's happening?" "I was followed by Cliffjumper, he's managed to get himself captured by the Decepticons, and I'm scared he's going to blow my cover!" "OK, calm down, where are you now?" "At Decepticon HQ. Cliffjumper is being interrogated, it's only a matter of time before he cracks." "I doubt he will crack, he's too stubborn. Hmm, just stay put, I'll figure something out."
