Being sick sucks, but it has given me a chance to work on some stuff this week. Today I did some work on Bonecrusher and Ironhide. With Bonecrusher, I did a dark wash, with a bit of dry brushing in some places to give him that dirty, worn look. It came out a little darker than I would have liked in some spots, but it's no big deal.

    Ironhide

With Ironhide, although I really like the mold, I was never crazy about the huge mass of black. To break it up I did some silver drybrushing, with a bit of gold detailing. Props to my gf who helped me do some of the detailing work in the alt mode with the painting on the bumper and the exhausts.

Very nice! I also love the fact that Scrubs is playing on your TV in the background! :)

Yeah, Bonecrusher is very impressive. You should get sick more often.

And I was totally about to tell you that you looked just like John C. Mcginley when Nightwind made me realize I'm an idiot. Dr. Cox is my freakin' hero.

I really like Ironhide, great job, but I think you went a little too far with making Bonecrusher SO dirty, but it does look cool

Nice, BC doesn't look like an army vehicle who gets a wash every day now.

BTW has anyone seen the Scrubs episode(season 5, episode 19) where Turk and JD paint the baby's room with Optimus and Megs? Hi-larious

It never ceases to amaze me how awesome these bots look with a little metalized detailing on them. Ironhide really comes to life with his robotic bits metalized.

Like the black wash on Bonecrusher, though I probably would have went for a darker shade of brown myself.

Yeah, he is a little bit darker than I wanted. The more I thought about it, brown might have worked better. Ah well.
