    Wait, what?

A Christmas Story is yet another good movie that doesn't need a sequel/remake. I could be wrong but didn't that movie already have a sequel but it has Charles Grodin as the dad?

My first reaction was...WHAT THE FUCKING HELL ARE THEY THINKING!!!! Then I actually watched the trailer, and....this could actually be enjoyable. Though purely because it appears to be making fun of the original (which is absolute garbage), rather than trying to be serious about it. Could still turn out to be absolute shit like it's predecessor, but I'll give it a shot.

Another movie that didn't need a sequel.

A Christmas Story is one of those movies that shouldn't be touched. It doesn't need a sequel or a remake and it ends perfectly. The premise of the movie is simple, but it was executed so well and it is my favorite Christmas movie.

While I'm not a fan of the original, the fact that we're getting a sequel to this just really pisses me off.

And is that Garry Chalk as Santa Claus?

Yes it is called "My Summer Story" with Charles Grodin and Mary Steenburgen. This sequel flopped big time at the box office. Bob Clark also directed this movie and Jean Shepard was the narrator.

I can't believe this new sequel was filmed in British Columbia and not Cleveland and Toronto. I wonder if Bob Clark was still alive, would he direct this sequel?

I hope Peter Billingsley makes a cameo appearance.

    The poor man.

Hell no; he wouldn't touch this sequel with an 80-foot pole.

Well, any movie that has Optimus Primal as Santa is OK in my book, LOL

But seriously, I found my father's "Christmas Gift" for the year, as he is a die-hard Christmas Story fan, and any person who paid to go see Ghost Rider 2 in the theater with multiple people (his wife and her 2 kids) deserves that as a gift, LOL

Christmas Story needed a sequel as much as Ralphie wanted the Pink Bunny PJs.
