We have an exceptionally rare Q&A session with Hasbro UK on Transformers At The Moon at the moment. The questions were asked several months ago, it's taken a while to get the final OK to print them.

There's nothing new, from a US perspective, but they confirm their Movie, Robot Heroes and Classics plans. Nothing from them on Animated, but then we didn't expect they no anything back in June.

That I know... but the wording is a bit ambiguous, and you'd think Hasbro UK would know what's planned for TF into the future.

    D'oh! :lol

This was in June, so it was before the Botcon info we got about Classics continuing.
    However...
Which the UK never got. That does worry me.

Perhaps they could answer this question:

"When are you going to stop sucking Action Man's dick and treat the Transformer's brand properly?"

The only Universe I have ever seen on a store shelf in the UK has been in comic shops at horrifically overblown prices (such as Universe Primal for £40 in one place).

I'd half expect their answer to be "fuck you".

Yeap, this is Hasbro UK. They're like born liars.

I still don't get their claim that Hasbro US determines what toys are sold in the UK market (and thus Hasbro UK is not to blame for not stocking TFs at all), when Hasbro Australia, a much smaller less important market, is allowed to sell whatever they want to whomever they want at non-insane prices.

Seems like all Hasbro UK was doing was blame shifting.

Absolutely. If Hasbro AU managed to get a domestic release of MP-02 then Hasbro UK have no excuses.

Hrmm, Alternators got cancelled in Australia when Grimlock/Swindle came out - limited case assortment for both AU and New Zealand. However we kept getting the Alternators here in NZ too, though we generally get what Hasbro AU gets (aside from exclusives which we don't normally get).

Hasbro across Europe seem to be a very stingy on pricing and availability of products.... really weird.

Why do i get the feeling that more questions were asked than answers provided?

I think they finally accepted that Action Man has been on a downward turn for the last 4 years or so after ATOM tanked. How they actually expected it to NOT tank is beyond me.

I picked up Universe Micromaster Devastator at Home Bargains a couple of years ago, and I'm sure I remember seeing bits and pieces in Woolies over the years, certainly didn't get the full line though.

I hope the fact that the movie toys have been shifting a fair bit prompts Hasbro UK to consider bringing over full lines in the future.

I thought the Micromaster Combiners were one of the few exceptions, but weren't they sold under the Energon and Cybertron banners there?

Yeah, the Micromaster combiners were sold in Energon and Cybertron Packaging. However I did pickup the Magnus/ Treadshot vs pack and the Smokescreen/ Ransack vs pack from The Entertainer., both in Universe packaging.

Apparently Hasbro UK actually is the head office for all the different European Hasbros, all European admin apparently happens in West London. There are other offices around Europe, but the main head office is here.

Which is why whatever Hasbro UK seem to do, the rest of Europe follow. As to the Action Man favouritism, we've always had that. Because AM is a European creation we get this pushed more. It actually makes me wonder if Hasbro UK actually have to pay Hasbro US some sort of licensing fee to sell the US IP's over here.

That would explain a lot if that were the case.
