I was extremely disappointed that the ROTF writers couldn't find a way to work The SR-71s system of gaskets (that leak at rest so they'll perform properly under the stresses of supersonic flight) into an incontinence gag.

I don't think we ever got to see the Blackbird in flight in ROTF.

They bring a supersonic jet into the plot and then they have to go and invent some teleportation gimmick to get it from point a to point b.

Thats really cool. I read a couple of books about the SR-71 and this line always cracks me up:
Gets me every time. Pity they had to retire it.

Actually that would be funny IMO since it's based off of an actual feature :lol
I could see Jetfire springing a leak and complaining it's his alt mode that causes it.

It's now about 50 years after the development of the SR-71, which followed the Wright brothers by about 50 years. That's unbelievable.

    I Like this. :thumb

Although, i had liked the Sr-71 before it was "Jetfire's" alt mode in ROTF , I am starting to class it as one my absolute favorites along with the...:thumb

    F22 Raptor , SU37 (?) , F14 Tomcat and possibly what ever the T50 ( Pak-Fa) will become.

Do you mean the SU-27 version or the SU-47 (S-37, the prototype with the inverted wings) when you say SU-37?

I personaly think T50 will not change almost at all from the current look in the future development. Apart from getting new engines (with new exhaust nozzles), all other changes will effect only internal components, though there are talks that they intend to change IRST to the basic shape of the IRST system on the F-35.

    Whoops sorry about that
"I may Like things but, i don't know much about them especially Technical and Specification things :redface2:  "

By going by what you said... I think it is the Su27 Version not the "SU47 Berkut".

No need to correct yourself. I just asked, as most people confuse SU-37 and SU-47. I did it as well, the only SU-27 versions I knew about at some time were SU-27 and SU-33.

About IRST, wiki is your friend in this case:
