Just read a written interview on FOC, and these bits are what caught my eye.

The best part of that interview was the revelation that Tieger is familiar with Armoured Core - I've often cited that series create modes as being a great place to start when deciding how a sufficiently deep and enjoyable TF customising and colouring system could work.

I like how you earn the parts like Halo Reach. Great system. The coloring also sounds awesome. Totally gonna make my dude chrome green and pink.

I'll anticipate thousands of super-glossy Multilayer characters. Lucky there's no reflectivity slider...

    sounds really excellent.

Would really love to see hasbro embrace something like this, making a handful of figures with interchangeable parts in mind from the get go. Have every figure come with an extra head and maybe a few other pieces, the more figures you get from the line the more customization options you have. A guy can dream lol.

Now that's a gimmick I could get behind. Why haven't they done this yet? They sort of touched on this with the Scramble City combiners, but that's also were it ended:(

So something like McFarlane did with their Halo Reach figures? Works for me.

I'm glad the look is just cosmetic, as mentioned otherwise there'd be just sets of parts that people use to optimize whatever they're going for; Tank, Sniper, etc.

I like that picture of Jazz using his grappling hook, is that Cliffjumper behind him? Or just a generic autobot?

Matte/Gloss sliders are great, but what about RGB sliders for colors? If not RGB sliders, then at least a huge color palette, please...

Yeah. I want a good assortment of colors. And prefereably not have certain colors only be for one faction or another. I want to be able to make bright red Decepticons and dark purple Autobots if I want!

Overall, this info has me very excited!

I think they said you choose two sets of colors, one 'Bot, one 'Con, but your body stays the same. Not sure if this means the same color palette as the last game, but I hope so.

I'd rather you could design say two totally seperate designs to a single slot (as long as they're the same class), and when you select it the character you get is dependant upon which faction you're placed upon.

I hope not. I don't like to be limited to my colors. Just because I'm a 'Con or a 'Bot shouldn't mean I'm restricted to my color palette. Color is every bit as important to the personalization of your character as much as parts are.
