According to the listing, this was actually built by Defstar of TFW2005 and the seller is just listing his own purchase of the custom.

It looks nice, but the seller should really be taking the time for some better photographs of the piece. (Oh, and $1,200 is the starting bid with a BIN of $2,000!)

Not that high, most combiner commissions run around that range

Still decent I must say. ;)

You should see how much F_R sold his Custom Defensor for... :jawdropper:

Hint: Its almost close to USD $4,000!

No, I understand that. But I think there is a pretty fair difference between this and FR

Incidentally, the fellow who bought FR's Defensor listed it on eBay a few months afterwards, for quite a bit less than he paid for it.

Last i remember, it didn't sell.

That's the thing with customs. Sometimes it's hard to get what was initially paid.

I've noticed very few customs when resold do as well as the original selling price. Probably has some to do with 1 less person (the original buyer) in the bidding war.

aye - whilst i may *really* want a custom superion made up only of TM Waspinator and a tasteful pink fur trim, there will only be a handful of other people in the world who want one, and i'd have already bid more than all of them to get it in the first place.

Most Customs, don't do well on the secondary market.
Most are lucky to get half of what was paid.

I dont get things like these. they arent combiners. its a modified RID Prime with other TFs stuck to it's arms and legs, rather than becoming the limbs.

That was my point. I'm sure it took a long time, and a lot of hard work went in by a talented artist, but there were no modifications made to the point I would expect it to fetch 1200.

None of them are the right colors. That's a HUGE demotivater for my getting my cash.
