Much like the FPS-like sequence in DoTM (that only runs for about five seconds), would anybody like to see something like that from the point of view of a Bayformer?

    For example;

A transformation would be cool to see, as if you were the one transforming.

Fighting against 'cons from the point of view of Optimus in his rage sequence before disarming and diseyeing Shockwave.

Ironhide's death from his own point of view. Perhaps Starscream's too, watching him go blind in one eye, have the screen cut off on that side, and then the explosion could just black out the screen.
Megatron's death too, have Optimus swing his axe towards Megatron and then the screen cut out.

Does anyone like this idea? It was just a spur of the moment thing.

This is actually a pretty cool concept.

I wonder what it would be like for one's perspective to change as they change from a fast-moving vehicle in an upright robot.

I think it could definitely be cool. But I wouldn't want them to overuse it. They've sort of touched on it with a few shots sprinkled throughout the trilogy as seen from the Decepticons' POV (with the 'computer monitor' screen, little widgets, icons, Cybertronian writing, etc.). But what you're suggesting is even cooler. It wouldn't just be them merely looking at something, it would be them experiencing it.

Maybe something like being "inside" the cab of Optimus as he transforms into robot mode. To see what he sees. (In order to differentiate it from the highway Bumblebee transformation shot). So we're surrounded by the dashboard and front windows, and then "rise up" and see the car parts disappear and giant metals pieces slide into place, the window split into two and move to the side, etc.. Then his gaze would settle upon the humans standing in front of him.

Or even a battle scene with projectiles coming toward the victim.

Meh, POV shots are overdone to me. I wouldn't mind some "terminator" style shots showing how they see for comedy value, though.

There was a POV of Jazz scanning his alt mode.

It's something that works well for games, but it's harder to pull off in movies. I'm going to agree that in a short bit it does hold the potential to do something that would be visually cool, but over done and it could be rough to watch.

We got a few in TF1... Blackout when he was "scanning" Epps at the base, Jazz (as was mentioned earlier), and the camera mimics the view of Optimus as he is transforming in the alley during the Arrival.

I think it would be cool to actually show more of the process of them choosing their alt-modes, rather than just "hey here's this new guy, he's a Ferrari."

Thats a good idea it would be nice to have them experience it from their POV, unlike seeing the transformation and such from 60 kilometers away...

Yeah, that'd be awful. Good thing it never even came close to happening.

I think this has been done at it's best in the form of Transformers: The Ride. I don't think it'll get any better than that.

They've already done that. As for seeing the transformations, it'd be a brief glimpse of cool moving parts ending in the usual POV shot.

That's not to say the transformations are bad or even flawed in any way. They're great, and if done right, that could be a cool scene in TF4.
