No, doesn't work deco-wise. Police Sunstreaker (and Clamp Down) use different decos that don't work by transforming Red Alert differently and slapping a Sunstreaker head on.

Swapping Sideswipe and Sunstreaker heads, swapping fists and transforming each body differently does work if you want Tigertrack and Red Sunstreaker, but not really Police Sunstreaker. You'll need a lot of reprolabels, an extra Red Alert and extra Sunstreaker (for the head) to make it work. I'd rather just have a new figure.

Why would anyone not want another Alpha Trion? This is a good thing since the BotCon version is hella expensive.

 

I think all these are great figures, but out of the top 4 I would rather have Goshooter. Plus, Alpha trion has 3rd party support from a couple companies.

 

Hopefully Silverbolt rallies for the win. Though a Deadlock/AoE deco Drift would also be cool...

The top three all make sense, and I feel they definitely are the strongest options.

Weirded out by Black Drift though. Would have been awesome if he had been colored like Deadlock, Drift's Decepticon look, but apparently he isn't. Anyone know if he's homaging anything in particular? Just don't see the appeal of a random black Drift.

Well Takara's never shied away from an opportunity for a black repaint, though most of these are for a smaller stable of generally quite popular characters, we do get retools to achieve relatively obscure ones like Magnificus. So somewhere between the two but not really either category is a black Drift, it's probably a chance to roll out a black deco for a character whose name is due to be getting a lot of exposure from AOE. Still, if it came with a weapons load out like SG Drift or indeed Blurr (which I could imagine being no more difficult than making Police Sunstreaker) then that would be everything one would need to make Deadlock bar the paint job. Oh well!
