    From TVshowsondvd.com:

As you know, this March 11th sees the Shout! Factory release of Transformers: Armada - The Complete Series on DVD. The storyline of that show continued in its sequel, Transformers: Energon, and that was followed on-air with Transformers: Cybertron. Now, Shout! Factory is continuing in the same vein, scheduling a May 6th DVD release of Transformers: Energon - The Complete Series!

The studio hasn't formally announced this title yet, but Amazon has begun accepting pre-orders for it. Cost is $39.97 SRP, for a collection which is expected to have all 52 episodes. Those episodes have been on DVD before, in Paramount's 2008 release of Transformers: Energon - Ultimate Collection, but that set has been out-of-print for quite some time now. Fans can look for Shout!'s brand-new release on store shelves this spring. Stay tuned for details and package art!

I'm getting it just to be complete. It started out great and went downhill at the midway point.

    The opposite of Armada.

Considering all the Armada fans that have gotten vocal since Armada Starscream was announced, wonder if all the Energon fans are going to speak up now.

I've got the old release. Still shrink wrapped.

I honestly can't believe there are fans of Armada. Armada had some really cool toys, but that cartoon was pretty horrible. It's literally the only Transformers series I couldn't watch every episode of, and as much as I thought Energon was bad, Armada was the worst TF series ever in my opinion.

Ill be getting both armada and energon when they're released. (Hopefully shout does cybertron too) I have some of the 4 episode DVDs of aec, but nothing in order. My expectations are low based on what I already have from these series, but I'm looking forward to watching them. Plus they'll look good with all the other tf DVDs.

Yeah, that's my take on it, too. If it had ended at the exact mid-point, I would consider it one of the stronger shows, actually. At least the Superlink version.

I'm probably the only person who likes Energon just for the sake of nostalgia. Like how Gewunners love G1 just because of nostalgia. I'll gladly pick this set up :) .

...so, you think Energon, with its crappy CGI, messed up dubbing, and complete butchering of character personalities is better than Armada, which at least got good at the end?

Despite the fact that I enjoy the G1 cartoon, I can say the exact same thing about it. So yes, those who grew up watching Armada probably still have nostalgia for it.

What Energon did to Demolisher just makes me ill.. He had the best characterization for the first quarter of the series and it was all flushed down the toilet thanks to Megatron. Tragic, really...

It wasn't that long ago when Paramount pushed out Energon onto DVD. I don't see the point of a rerelease unless there's bonus features or it's on blue ray.

Last series I tried watching was Energon. Got a portion in and I can't muster the courage or strength to continue. I want to watch every series at least once but this one is killing me to do it.
