I was looking forward to this. The idea of a more articulated version of a great toy was appealing. But the size is small and the plastic looks cheap. I will stick to my Armada version.

 

Sculpt looks cool, but color-wise it just looks so... red. Could have used more grey or just some extra paint apps. Is this a finished product?

 

well.... those have put me off. He lacks the presence of armada starscream not to mention the gapping holes off empty plastic everywhere just like FOC starscream.

 

The very first prototype images wowed me, but since then my expectations have taken a nosedive. I wanted to like him, but honestly something about this figure just looks cheap to me.

 

i was wondering what was up with his chin being so big, but it looks like they didn't paint his "chinstrap" black on this version?

 

Glad to see I'm not the only one who thinks the colors really hurt the figure. If the red wasn't so bright and the colors a little closer to the original then I'd be all over this. As it stands, it looks like a cheap knock-off I have in my Classics Autobots lineup to stand-in as counterpoints to the Duobots.

 

I'll get him in hopes Hasbro will make more Armada figures

i like it and a lot , sure the takar one would be the TRUE STARSCREAM but this is at half price so yo know , for me he is perfect, please reissue hot shot an give us a red alert in deluxe size to have bendy optimus red alert and hot shot

 

Wow. His head (Chin) looks better.

Lots of red Plastic. That takes away from the figure.

I get the feeling if u give him some blacking wash to bring out line detail he will be awesome.

So how big is energon starscream compared to current generations deluxes

 

So is that a pressure missile on his shoulder now, by pressing the orange plastic bit? Well at least it doesn't get in the way, and the missiles don't look bad in storage, and the swords look like they fit well in storage too.

Looks like I might have to do some paint touch-ups (like the chin), but other than that looks like a good mold. And I have to be honest, at first I didn't think the paint was so bad, but seeing him with the original figure really makes me see all the missing paint.

 

He looks pretty good to me, will buy. His size looks decent enough, Energon Starscream was about the size of the classics figure

 

I love these little guys!

 

The mold looks decent enough, but the comparison shot really shows that this Starscream really needed more black and gray to break up all that red. (basically, color Armada Starscream like Armada Starscream)
