    This sounds extremely, extremely horrid.

Voice recognition? Dear god, there's a reason I like Transformers and not that Robosapien crap.

I dont mean to back talk but in all goodness we DONT know what the designs are yet. Just b/c we have seen a few non-preduction toys and pics doesnt mean that is what is going to be in the movie.

I think that bay & hasbro are up to something, and we are all going to blow our loads when it comes out from shock.MARK MY WORDS You watch. I mean, a head design can do a world of difference. Think about it. how hard would it be to change up a few things here and a few there and send us in the wrong direction?? Not that hard since if they are, you ALL (exept me) are fooled. lol

I hope it is all it's cracked up to be, because I don't buy many toys anymore. It would be nice to have a single extraordinary representative from the film.

Not to be a downer, but we DO know what the designs are. No way it can change this late in the game. Not even a little possible.

I gotta wonder if we're only going to see one or two of these Ultimate Figures just to see if we'd buy them. Then, if they sold well, they'd release a couple more around the time when the DVD's come out.

Also, How big do you guys think this figure will be? When I did my Index guide book, I used what we called the Beast Wars scale to break up the toys into categories so as to make all of them fit better into the book. The BW scale used the price point of the Beast Wars toys as a guide from Basic up through Supreme. We added Micro and Mini for the smaller toys not sold durring BW and there was one toy that was much too big to fit in the Supreme category, Fort Max. For him we came up with the Ultimate... a category of one bot. (since Grand and Brave Max were never sold in the US)

So thinking on that, and giving the Electronics in him, I'm thinking he'd be about the size of a Supreme at around $90.00. (Masterpiece OP sized) Tho They could make him 2 feet tall too. :drunk

I doubt it. My money's on him being smaller than mp-01 most likely.

Hard to say really - regardless of size, a $90 dollar TF is unlikely to be a big seller. On that basis, it *might* be on the small side so as to take up less shelf space.

It'll probably be something aimed more at collectors, though with the electronic features, I'm also thinking he'll be more of a curio for the rich families around the holidays.

Meh, I was hoping for a DX Alternator, i.e. a 1/18 scale die-cast model car with the most movie accurate transformation they could manage.

In other words, a true collectors grade figure to rival Takaras best.

I want to see pics of course, but a new Bumblebee with lots of special features has this Bumblebee fan very excited! MP Screamer and Megs may just have to wait to be added to my collection, Bumblebees come first in my book.

That's what I was hoping, but it sounds like Hasbro just loves stupid kiddie gimmicks too much to give us that. I want details and complexity, not sound effects and lights!

I suppose it's possible to have both, we'll just have to wait and see. I don't have a good feeling about it, though.

Yeah, it's almost as if they want *kids* to buy their toys.

Of course they do, but why can't they make MP type figures like Takara? THEY want to sell to kids as well, but they don't have to stupefy them to do it. Leave the crappy gimmicks for the cheap toys.

The whole "it's for kids" argument is lame. Of course the toys are mostly for kids, that doesn't mean they need to include crappy gimmicks that ruin it. An older kid can appreciate and cherish a good design just like an adult can.

I think the jury is still out on if 20th Prime did well either time.(?)

Older kids yes. Younger kids - maybe. The one thing the two of us probably would agree with is that the toy stands to be mediocre at best. If it's the new Camaro, i'll be suprised if they even go to the trouble of matching the paintwork correctly.

I feel kinda sorry for the parents who will have to shell out for it.
