Hey, so, my 9 year old sister is a transformer fan. She has been ever since I brought home my first transformers, Universe Classics Sunstreaker, and Universe Classics Prowl. She thought they were so cool, and immediately decided she'd start to buy them too.

Well, she's decided Leader Revenge of the fallen Megatron is something she wants. I really hate to see her blow 45 dollars on a toy she might not like because it's so complex.

Do you think a leader ROTF Megs is right for a nine year old? I need your thoughts people!

From what I've heard he's not as hard as Optimus to transform (who even took ME a while to figure out), but I don't know if it'd be suitable for her. Maybe, but just like all Transformers, it takes a while to figure it out perfectly.

little girl finds huge bad ass robot toys interesting = let her buy it and learn if she can handle it. If she can't, commend her on her very own bad assness, and refund the toy for her.

TF1 Jazz, with instructions, took me about 2 hours to figure out. ROTF Leader Optimus took me about 20 minutes.

Depends on how she is with other Transformers. Leader Megatron is no more complicated then your average deluxe toy, perhaps a bit more simplistic due to the larger parts. Some parts of his transformation require a bit of force though, particularly when you try to disconnect the pegs near the sides of his knees when turning him into a robot. Then there's his gun arm that has a tendency to fall off when transforming him. Otherwise, I don't think a nine year old would have too much problem. Leader Optimus however.....YIKES!

    She's gotta get started somewhere.

Does she like animated? They'r complex enough for my 9 year old nephew without being too simple.

In any case I think it's cool.

She's great with all of her transformers. Transforms stealth Bumblebee, movie Divebomb, FAB Ratchet and universe Blaster with ease. Universe Ironhide however, gives her a lot of trouble, enough trouble that she hasn't once transformed him all the way. He just lies up there in a crumpled heap. (Poor guy)

She's pretty good with the transformations and everything. She probably won't even be able to afford it though, she's only got 30 bucks, and she plans on getting the Ice cream twins. But she is awful dang persistent.

If you'll excuse me, I must go gloat about the awesome sister I have.

Wait, what? Were you transforming him with your feet?

Anyhoo, I'd suggest having a look at some video reviews. See how complex the transformation looks, and factor in how smart your sister is.

tell her not to waste money on that piece of crud. leader megs is really bad, voyager megs looks very nice.

I'm sure she could transform eaither fine, but leader megs is a waste of plastic...voyager megs is leaps and bounds better.

After I got past the first transformation, he became an instant breeze. It was his god damned stiff-as-fuck shoulder-elbow pop out arrangement.

Why? She's 9, not retarded. Megs isn't that hard, not hard enough for a 9 year old to be stumped by completely.

I'd say that if she wants it, let her get it. I'm not sure how complicated it is concidering if from bot to vehicle to bot once with it... I do remember getting kind of frustrated with him though. With that said, if she doesn't like it, refund it, get her voyager megs, and let have at that one.

Probably because most people agree that leader megs Is a crappy representation of the figure, and that voyager megs would be a better deal.

Thats what I thought anyway, and I have to agree I want to buy a leader sized megs, but not that hunk of junk.
