Thank god the workers are fine. On a different note, my prayers out to everyone in Japan. I can't imagine what sort of damage such a catastrophic event could have caused.

I'm currently watching a tsunami hit north eastern Japan. I pray for the safety of the people in the area.

Yeah I can't believe I'm watching cars with people in them just being swept by the waters.

Hopefully they can find a way to safety.

People are on the roof of what looks like Sendai Airport waiting to be rescued. :(

And we New Zealanders thought we had it bad? Hoping for the best for Japan.

    Here's a retweet:

"NHK says more than 4 million buildings (!) in Tokyo lost power."

Hopefully Tokyo Bay is sheltered enough to avoid the tsunami.

Saw that on CNN, scary stuff. Houses, boats and cars being swept away... yikes.

They're even giving tsunami warnings as far away as Hawaii and Mexico, this is insane.

My wife has relatives on the northeast coast of Taiwan which are under tsunami warnings.

Taipei should be fine. That's where most of my relatives are.

Well, we here in New Zealand know this feeling all too well and have just been issued a Tsunami warning. Looks like the Pacific Ring of
Fire is in full swing lately. Thoughts are with those who've lost loved ones.

Man, on top of a struggling economy that can't seem to climb out, this happens.

Prayers, thoughts, hopes, and support to all those in japan. The footage is unbelievable!
I hope everyone here who have friends or family in the affected area are ok.

Just watching CNN myself, this is so hard to watch, my thoughts and prayers go out to the people of Japan..and other countries who will also be affected.

We have several members here from Japan, I hope they are ok.

The sad thing is the inevitable aftershocks. Some are suppose to be just as or more powerful than the initial quake.

I just can't believe how horribly slow and creepy the water is moving along, crushing nearly everything in it's wake.
