It's valued at $50, but you're selling 50 of them for $10 each.
I don't get it.
I've always thought UM's G1 box art was kind of funny...
His stance is awkward...like he's wearing a thong...backwards...
Honest question. The origional transparency has a value of $50-60...this is a print made using the origional 8x10 transparency. Do you understand now?
I still think this sounds sketchy. I'm not really sure why.
If you don't like the G1 Magnus box art that's fine. You don't need to tell everyone about it here.
Seriously...enough with this shit. Stop trolling my listings. I own the origional and have every right to make prints, reguardless of what you think of it. Ever bought a poster? Same concept.
I'm not trolling your listings, I'm voicing an opinion on what seems to be a bootleggish-type item. You may well be within your rights to sell copies, or you may not be. I don't know, but it feels odd IMO, and I'm allowed to express that opinion.
If there is really nothing wrong with doing this, I apologize.
I don't see anything wrong with it, as long as it's clearly started that it's a print (which Moonstreaker has indeed done); it's the people selling "original copies" (look acrefully at that wording) that we should be wary of.
Ah, ok. I got it. Do you have the original transparency for sale? I'd like to get my hands on that.
I'm not looking to sell it at this time. But since you asked I will contact you first if I decide to sell it.
This is kind of cool... I was checking your ebay record and you bought and sold the same item. Do you still have the original for sale? What's the difference?
Purchased on 3/27 for $43.99
Sold on 5/10 for $26
Looks like you also "had" the Frenzy transparency as well.
I had Frezny would be correct. The person who was supposed to purchase Magnus didn't have a Paypal account and only wanted to send a personal check. It was closed with "mutually diagree not to complete transaction" non-payment dispute. Which leaves both sides with no marks.
The origional is a Transparency. Which is a thin piece of plastic similar to actual film used in cammeras. Though the transparency is much larger (it is 8x10). This is using that transparency to develop an 8x10 photo/print of that transparency on photo paper. I can also do larger sizes. Though they can be much more expensive. The larget one I would consider to be "reasonable" would be a 16x20 print (still on photo paper) that I can have made, and sell for $23 plus shipping costs (I would need to find out how much shipping tubes cost).
To whom ever it was that contacted the person who won, BUT DIDN'T BUY the Magnus Transparency. I just want to let you know that they contacted me and let me know someone else was interested in it if I still had it. And again...it is not currently for sale.
So who here thinks they're slick?
What happened to the auction? And before anybody says anything, NO, I had nothing to do with anything. I wasn't the one that contacted the buyer or ebay or anything like that.
Transparency is supposed to be destroyed when prinitng is done. Owing one is one thing, but disributing copies is another thing, maybe? Like those cells from cartoons.
(Just saying, as I have seen someone at TakTom TF communnity posting a picture of transparency he bought on ebay and the staff was very quick to take it down. I imagine it's touchy.)
