HOLY CRAP! I would have just not paid it. The Cell phone company knows they are wrong for charging that exhorbant fee, and that something must have been a miss...
Am I the only one who thinks he was an idiot aloowing it to go that high in the first place? He said somehting about how they should have informed him?
I think its silly to use a cell phone as a modem to connect to the net. Most people on phones do what? Check weather and stocks and stuff. This guy probably downloaded like a gig worth of hard core porn and now he has to face the charges. On the flip side; when a person hears "unlimited internet access" you really don't think of having a limit. They should say "unlimited access up to _______" a year/month/bill cycle. It was nice that they took off over 80 grand. I'd like to see how this turns out. To bad it'll take several months and I'll probably loose interest like everyone else.
I can't imagine having a cell phone bill that large, but, then again, I barely use mine as it is, which is probably why I just have a cheap little Tracfone.
I am leaving Sprint for Revol. They have a phone coming out soon that I am really interested in. Its a OgO 2.0. Its a more feature packed Sidekick clone!
I have a blackberry my job gave me with an unlimited data plan - they even sent out an e-mail to everyone showing how to use it as a modem!
To be quite honest I am unsure LOL. I know thaur is a clip adapter that gives you a mini handset. Its basically a bluetooth headset! Its weird. But it seems that all the reviews I have seen are good ones! clips are here http://www.ogo.com/ogoClips.aspx for those curious http://www.ogo.com/default.aspx BINGO! http://www.ogo.com/downloads/ogo_QuickStartENGL.pdf its the bottom illustration third from the left! Thats how you talk!
Haha @ you north-americans and your silly bandwidth limits. No traffic limits on internet connections over here!
Jeebus. I considered shooting my wife* when she went over her minutes and hit $201 a few years ago. $85K OR $3.2K -- it wouldn't matter -- that's spontaneous human combustion dollars, right there. * - No, not really.
It is different in Canada as they make us pay WAY more for downloads. It is one of the reasons that we don't have the I Phone yet, as normal use would cost the average person a small fortune every month. I do not feel sore for the guy, he is a douche for using it to over 18 hours of high res video...
