Got this yesterday at a thrift store along with a VERY nice Loose G1 Drag Strip. (In a bag of toys for $2.99, I re-donated the rest of the stuff in the bag) It's a 4 Star made Topspin KO. Like most of 4 Star's stuff it have been extensively remolded. I have never seen one like this and I can't find any info.

    Looks like a knockoff Jumpstarter.

EDIT: oops, looks like you already knew that. Yeah, Fourstar uses alot of G1 molds and remakes them. You should see their insecticons, and Mr. Hard Hat (Devy)

This much I knew. I knew 4 star mad KOs using modded G1 Molds, I just have never seen this one.

it does look like it borrows from the Jumpstarter philosophy, but is more of a design homage than 100% KO

Comparing it to my G1 Twin Twist it's definitely KO. 4 star used Modded G1 Molds for their stuff.

I used to see those in little toy bins at the supermarket when I was a kid, along with KO Insecticons in bright colors.

that was my guess too, looks like a knock off of some kind of shogun warriors figure/vehicle. you could always check the guys at action-figures.ca, they know a lot about knock off's from the 80's too.
