Just wondering if a KO Devastator if worth the price at $8. The brand is Quick change if that makes a difference.

    You'd be paying too much.

If it doesn't disintegrate right out of the packaging, $8 is a great deal for a Knockoff toy.

The parts barely hold together and there are some very notable difference between the original and the KO's (i.e. heads that don't move. Given how little they moved in the original...). My niece owns mine these days.

If you want it to look vaguely like devestator from the back of your shelf and you will never move it, sure.

    This.

This is what I did for my Dev. stand in. A few paint apps and a sticker on the chest plate and it has served me well. However im hoping against hope that I can figure out away to afford Maketoys Green Giant.

I have one as well I got from a Big Lots...it's fine as long as you don't move it or breathe on it, as already said. It's yellow.

I got one for around that price and threw it out after a week. That said it was very cool seeing how he combined. I was pretty impressed how the 6 figures merged with the help of add on pieces but never showed any sign of being components on their own. It kind of reminded me of transforming the city commander trailer for the first time.

If you want to display him or repaint him or whatever I dont think hes worth it, especially if youve messed with a real Devastator before. But if you havent I think everyone should check him out at least once.

It's your call, but be aware there's a not-insignificant chance you'll just end up throwing the set away. Quick Change is exceptionally low-quality, and their plastic is about as durable as chalk.

There actually is a Quick Change version with stellar quality. It's the smaller scale, released in yellow, with painted brown and orange bits.

I picked one up at Big Lots a few years back, was so surprised and pleased with the quality, that I went back and bought three more.

The regular sized one, however, is as the other posters describe.

If it turns out to be a complete piece of crap you could always just glue him together in Devastator mode.

The dollar store version? I took very good care for mine. I love that version. I've had it for years now.

If you mean that KO Yellow Devastator from Big Lots? I guess it's alright. It's not perfect by any means... particularly those stickers... but it's solid enough to transform into Devastator and leave him that way. (I'd not recommend transforming back and forth too much. Especially for the crane/chest hinges.)
