I love these books! I have all the Titan oversized collected volumes but the extra info in the form of essay and introductory writings makes this a great resource for hardcore G1 comics fans.

 

FINALLY, after 24 years I get to read Ancient Relics. This is awesome.

 

the pre-order before the cover release was $13 and change, now after the cover in shown, the price went up to $16.50.

 

The prices on all of the IDW trade paperbacks on Amazon tend to fluctuate greatly, both up and down, from when they are announced until they are actually available. This also happens with the actual release date.

 

Looks like Wildman has decided to emphasize the rivalry between Rodimus and Galvatron which has gotten old to me. Put Powermaster Optimus there instead of Rodimus.

 

Well THAT wouldn't make any damn sense, since this book contains the major UK Rodimus vs. Galvatron story (from "Wanted: Galvatron Dead or Alive" to "Fire on High") at a time when Prime is dead.

 

Yes, shouldn't the next volume collect the Time Wars? That would be the ideal spot for a Powermaster Optimus VS Galvatron & Megatron duel...

 

Heck naw, that's like two books away yet. We've got to get through Legacy of Unicron and Space Pirates yet.

I e-mailed IDW about the release since Amazon originally had Dec, and they told me April is the estimated release date now.
