I decided to give Hot Rod a 70s Muscle Car look. I used the Cybertron Downshift body and an Energon Rodimus head. The hardest part was getting the head to set right inside. The flames are handpainted and were VERY difficult to get right.

ahhhh man! It's such a wonderfully simply concept (though like you said with the head, not so simple to pull off). He looks fantastic!

i don't think the head fits with the style of the body, but that's a cool idea with great execution

not bad. really nice job with the red paint, but the flames look a little squared-off and unnatural. they shouldn't be so even. You consider grinding a thin set of grooves under the big hunk of black plastic that is under the cab piece, and then pegging in half of a "spoiler" to each groove, one on each side... allowing them to swivel out in bot mode?

I like this one a lot. Much better than Downshift/Wheeljack, this works perfect.

Paint apps are perfect as well.
