Anything running on the latest version of the unreal engine (as WfC does) pretty much pushes the graphics capabilities of the current consoles to the max. Gears of War, Mass Effect, Splinter Cell, and a myriad of other games all run on this engine and all look great.

I think the only thing that pushes consoles harder is possibly the upcoming Crysis 2. Anyone who's seen the Crysis engine at work on a fully decked out PC knows why.

 

I just hope it's not like Lost Planet 2. You can't even pause during a campaign even if your playing alone. Too much focus on multiplayer.

Wellll....not entirely true,yes the Unreal engine 3 does produce some good graphics but it doesnt push any consoles to the max...well at least PS3 wise it doesnt.I thought Killzone 2 looked amazing untill I saw uncharted 2....but then god of war 3 came and that blew that away.

But yeah Crysis 2 may push things to the max! But Im impressed of how well high moon studios used the UE3 to make this game look so good.....cant wait!

 

I love the "countdown to extinction" line, nice nod to the old series (I'm sure it's just one of many in the game).

As for this footage not being new, it is new to those of us who haven't been watching every little clip released so far. Looks like an impressive game.

 

I'm drooling right now. I must get this game. Now I must get an Xbox 360 or PS3... Which one do you think is a better choice? I'm still stuck on PS2.

 

Well the PS3 controller is pretty much the same as a PS2 controller. So you may be more comfortable with that. Online play is free on PS3. 360 there is a yearly fee. 360 have the dreaded Red Ring of Death where the system dies. My friend has gone through 3 Xboxs cause of this.

 

Thanks. I'm definately leaning towards PS3. The only thing keeping me from deciding on that is because alot of friends have an Xbox and I'd like to be able to play online with them. But I also don't feel like paying to be online, and I am so used to Playstation already. I also heard that Playstation is comming out with the new "Playstation Move" motion sensor gameplay alot like Wii has (based on Sony's iCam technology) pretty soon, and I think Project Natal looks dumb. So I am leaning towards a PS3, but don't more people have Xbox? And is the Xbox 360 graphics better than PS3?

 

Well I know a lot of members here have 360. Most of my friends have 360 as well. It's all up to preference. Both systems have good games. I'm not too sure on the graphics part. I think and I could be wrong, that some games look a little better on 360, but it's not a big jump like comparing a Wii to 360/PS3 games. I almost got a 360 myself when I was hunting for a next gen. But the whole Red Ring of Death turned me off and so did my friend's experience with going through 3 of them.

 

I'm upgrading from PS2 to Xbox 360 for Cybertron. Can't wait to see this on my HDTV. Hopefully no Red Ring of Death.

Almost on the home stretch now!   Shame there wasn't anything new at all in the video but since E3 is happening before the games launch, maybe we'll be treated to something special before the game ships. I'm leaning toward avoiding the impending reviews of this game as usually they are chocked full of uber-spoilers.
