Brave KO Seven Changer Sevenchanger 7changer (called "7-ster Transformation")

Unfortunately this KO is far more obtainable than the real deal. I couldn't find reviews online, so I bought BOTH just to find out.

Verdict...It's great!!! It's high quality!! I'm happy with it.

Cons: The joints on mine were STIFF. I had to loosen screws, and push hard to overcome initial stiffness. The cab section did NOT want to slide out - I had to use a CROWBAR to force it out (so now I know the plastic is strong) just far enough that I could drop in some lubrication. Now everything is smoother. The breast accessories feel cheap, and straight out of the box, the gold plating was stripped by the scotch tape that held it in place. Oddly, a long pin from a hinge slipped right out, but easily slid back in. It might take a dab of glue (or something) to keep it in place.

Pros: Playing with it, you could never tell it was a KO. As I took pictures, I often lost track of which was which. All the tiniest mold details are reproduced. Colors match as well as my eye can tell. Transformation quality in all modes is identical (except difference #1 below). Overall, the plastic quality is good - it feels thinner than the real one, but still sturdy (I have official Transformers made of this thinner plastic). The body is pearly white, whereas my original is yellowed.

The differences I found, in order of greater to lesser importance:
1.) The wheels below the cab fold on top of the jet's canopy. This require a bit of squeezing on the KO. On the original, it's as smooth as butter. This is a very minor difference in transformation quality, but it's there.
2.) Crotchplate of the KO is white. Original is mostly black. See robot pic.
3.) Head light-piping on the original is replaced with solid plastic on KO.
4.) One of the factory-applied stickers on the wing has a translucent border, whereas the original is solid white. See jet mode pic.
5.) In wolf mode, KO eyeballs and fang are orange. It's yellow on the original.

Overall, for the cheaper price, I definitely recommend the "7-ster" version. Even if it were a $10 difference, I would be happy with the KO.

Not counting mistransformations, can you spot other differences? KO on right.

I got both from Yahoo Japan. I see the KO on eBay occasionally. And now I have an extra I need to be rid of :)

I've always wanted to customize Seven Changer into an Optimus Prime figure because of the truck mode... One day, one day...

I guess that would be the answer to the question 'What would optimus Prime look like if he was a truck (or anything he's been before)'. This toy is the answer :lol .
