I'm just glad that the death toll is no where near what the last two earthquakes caused, Even though this was a pretty big one.

I had a bookshelf topple over onto me at easter dinner. No structure damage, but I'm pretty sore.

Darn, not in before "ZOMG 2012 we're all gun die."

But I really wonder how long it will be before the "big one" hits my area. It's been a somewhat active year, or at least that's how it seems.

    My sympathies to those hurt.

Nevertheless, I won't if/when the "big one" hits, will people have the same questioning of where to rebuild like they did with New Orleans after Katrina.

....a towel has immense psychological value. For some reason, if a strag discovers that a hitchhiker has his towel with him, he will automatically assume that he is also in possession of a toothbrush, washcloth, soap, tin of biscuits, flask, compass, map, ball of string, gnat spray, wet-weather gear, space suit etc., etc. Furthermore, the strag will then happily lend the hitchhiker any of these or a dozen other items that the hitchhiker might accidentally have "lost". What the strag will think is that any man who can hitch the length and breadth of the galaxy, rough it, slum it, struggle against terrible odds, win through, and still knows where his towel is, is clearly a man to be reckoned with.

First quake I've been in since I moved here that actually made me dizzy. But nothing fell off the shelves so it wasn't that bad in my city.

I was at my parent's place and didn't feel a thing. Their neighborhood is on a hill on top of bedrock so it must have cushioned the house. All we had were these one second power outtages. Glad to hear most everyone is ok!

I was with my family for Easter. At first my sister thought someone was shaking the couch than it gradually got stronger. She freaked out and started gathering everyones kids to go outside. It's the strongest quake I felt.

I was sleeping in my room down here in San Diego, then I started to hear my detolfs shaking. Fortunately it was very brief and nothing too big.
