Watch a 6-Year-Old Girl Get Frisked by TSA (VIDEO) - Seattle News - The Daily Weekly

The parents have already appeared on Good Morning America to raise hell about it.

Unneccesary? Yeah maybe but, It was only a mild frisking , get over it lol.
Kids get frisked all the time. A little disturbing yes, but you'd be suprised how many people use their kids to smuggle shit.

This is their only child, so they're going to take it pretty hard.

Aw, come on. It wasn't a cavity search or anything like that.

The woman did a good job, made sure the mother could see everything she is doing. If they said "oh we won't screen children" then of course everyone wanting to smuggle is going to do it with children.

While I don't like the whole security measures being completely over the top but what do the parents think is more distressing to their kid - being frisked like everyone else or them making a huge drama about it with reporters and tv interviews?

Good on airport security for doing their jobs. If you don't like the security procedures then don't fly.

The parents bitching obviously don't realize that in the real world, there are sick people that use unwitting kids to commit all kinds of horrors. Good on the TSA.

This is the price you pay for safety and security.

Am betting they called their lawyer on this , and it was his idea to go public with it so they can build a case to more justify a potential lawsuit.

I totally understand why it happened, but I know I would be really bothered by if it was my child, regardless of the reasoning behind it. However, I sure as hell wouldn't get a lawyer and go on national television to cry about it. What a waste of time. I hope the inevitable lawsuit gets thrown out.

Agreed. If it were up to me, all passengers would fly naked and their baggage would be shipped on a separate flight. I hate flying.

It's a shame that we live in a world where a child has to be frisked in order to help guarantee security on an airplane. Unfortunately, it's a necessary precaution just as long as it doesn't go too far, which doesn't seem to be the case here.

A man brought explosives on a plane in his underwear a year or two ago. They should be frisking newborns and anyone questioning that should automatically be sent to Iraq on a one way flight.

At least its same gender to same gender search. I don't see a problem with this.

I watched the news report on this today. I think the problem came to them chosing to frisk her, and the mother kept asking the security to just put her through the scanning instead of making her get a pat down. TSA pretty much gave her the "don't cause trouble" routine. The kid was extremely upset after the frisking, thinking she did something wrong and was crying about it. Sure, I understand that some sick fucks out there use the kids to do that, but come on, they weren't trying to avoid getting scanned at all. The shock of it is that they are doing this to young kids and the kids think that it is because they are doing something wrong.

Exactly. If we're not proactive and just let shit slide by...well I'm sure you get the idea.

Yes, and rather than let it drop and treat it like no big deal, these ignorant fuckstick parents are turning it into a media nightmare. Now this poor kid has to go to school and face other children, teachers etc. That is going to be what hurts this poor little girl. Not that some security guard lighty frisked her in full view of her parents.

Way to ensure your child's emotional scarring. Idiots.

I hope they sterilize both of these idiots and countersue them for costing the court time and energy in throwing this crap out.

Sick people in this world will use thier children to get away with whatever they can, whether it be trying to blow up a plane, or to sue for "emotional scarring" that can only be repaired with enough money to make sure the parents don't have to work anymore.

As a matter of fact heading up to New England one time I was searched and had no problem, but what I did not like is that it wasn't thorough enough. If you're gonna pat someone down do it right or don't do it all.
