Got the 6' Ti Ultra Magnus from Hasbro Toy Shop today, was pretty disappointed with him out of the box, the knees can't really bend, and the arms are so far back.

But with a couple simple mods, he's now my favorite 6" Titanium figure

Just switch the knees will do the trick

Here is the hole that i drilled for the arms

Here is the Alt. Mode, although there is an extra hole now and not a perfect transformation, I can live it.

Let me know what you think :)

Color the whole chest red, switch the smoke stacks to the back of the cab, and we have a winner!

I think the knee thing is pretty cool. Fairly simple. But the drilling I know I would just screw up. Nice mod, though! He looks 100 times better.

The drilling was pretty easy, it's only plastic, and use a slow drill, that way you can make sure exactly where you are drilling, also start with a small drill bit, and move your way up after trying to fit the arm in, that way you can ensure a tight fit. Also make sure your finger's not in the way so that you'd drill through it :thumb

I never knew about the knees being a problem, but the shoulders were always a complaint I had.

    Nice work.

Is it possible that the knees are meant to be this way, and were a factory error?

We somehow need to combine his knee and arm mod with my mods and then you'd have what you want. :)

Unfortunatly I never wrote a tutorial for the mod, so there is nothing to link to...

What I did in a nutshell:

Cut off the stacks with a hobby knife. Paint the sliced area white that remains on the side of the truck.

Buy any ol' cheapo $5 truck at the drugstore that has the chromed smokestacks you desire.

Superglue the new stacks to the back of Magnus. You need to rough the back surface of the cab up with a knife to make sure the glue sticks, but aside from that just lay down the glue and put the stacks right on there.

All other chrome is Bare Metal Foil. It's more or less extreemely thin tinfoil with sticky stuff on the back. Verrrrrrry tricky to learn to use, but worth it.

The red is...ummm... red paint. :)

just swapped them, not sure if it's just mine or if that's how it is across the board, but mine won't bend back properly in robot mode, I can bend forward just fine, so I switched them

EDIT: Go back and look at Cheeb's pictures, you'll see that his Magnus' knees are backwards (or forwards :D  )

7/32, and it's a pretty tight fit for me

Gotta get me some of the bare metal foils Cheebs, is it easy to apply? Did you do your TFTM Ironhide with it as well? Does it flake or scratch off easy?

Take my advice.....PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE!!! Bare-metal-foil is not for beginers. It is basicly aluminum foil tape, but much more fragile.
