Gee, I am so not getting this. Would have been cool if Spiderman had remembered the Transformers.
Holy crap that looks awesome. I've been missing out. Need to go get the back issues for these.
How's the story so far (with or without spoilers)?
So far the story has been awful. I'm reading it to finish it, praying it somehow redeems itself... but my hopes aren't very high. -___- this should have been the best crossover ever, and just failed.
I guess the problem is that there really isn't any story. Cons try to start war, Avengers and Autobots come and fight. That's all there is to it. The whole story could have been told in 2-3 issues, its only one extended fight scene.
Same problem I had with the series. The concept is not a bad one, but the finished product leaves much to be desired. Thought maybe the first issue was just off with the writer attempting to find his footing with the story but after the second issue I just didn't feel there was enough of a story to make it worth buying any more issues. Plus the story seems heavy on the Avengers side from some other period in the Marvel Universe and light on the Transformers side with Decepticons showing up some times just so someone can say their name.
So wait, looking at those pages Iron man and Megatron look to be the same size as they fight, how is this, mass shift change?
From the looks of things, he made a suit of TF sized Armor.
Iron Man just HAPPENED to have a giant robot suit laying around for times like these.
Ironman suspected that cybertronians had infiltrated Earth, so he had this huge armor system on standby. No mass shifting so far. . .
What is to spoil?
The Decepticons took over Doom's fortress in Latveria.
Issue #1: The Avengers try to get inside. Then the Autobots show up.
Issue #2: The Avengers and Autobots try to get inside.
Issue #3: The Avengers and Autobots try to get inside. On the last page Megatron walks out the front door and says "You kids get off my yard!"
Seriously, the whole series has thus far been the heroes trying to get inside the villains' base. I think issue 1 started at 3:15 on a Monday afternoon in Latveria and it is now 3:27 that same afternoon.
So much potential, but the whole series is ripe with fail.
Yeah -and notice how he just happened to be flying over to Latveria with it.
So, Tony knew the Decepticons were there but didn't tell the other Avengers? They were sure surprised to see giant transforming robots.
I am more curious as to how Spider-man became about half the size of Astrotrain in that first panel. Spider-man is 15 feet tall now?
This crossover makes me sad.
That is an awesome pic of Megs and spidey... Maybe... future... Marvel vs Transformers?????? Common! Someone give us a 3D Full roam game with transformers and fighting!
AHHHHH!! Just saw the preview of megs fighting Iron Man... that is awesome!!!
If you ask me, it was doomed from the start. An Ultimates/TF crossover would have been MUCH more interesting, especially if they used movie elements instead of G1 ones.
It brings me much joy to see so many people not know what the hell is going on in this miniseries. it's terrible, and the more people who ignore it, the better.
Scale errors ftw! I mean... ftl
I'm a fan of the Avengers, and a fan of Transformers. Heck I've been collecting the comics for the last twenty years or so. But I could have done without this. The writing is awful and the art is forgettable. Unless your a completest (like me) you won't miss a thing if you just pass this on by.
It has sucked hard, no doubt.
But let me put a positive spin- cover art for issue 4 is awesome.
Megatron-sized Iron Man is rediculous. The Avengers might as well have their own version of Voltron lying around for occasions like these.
