I caught the tail end of this over the weekend. I have no idea what to make of it really. It definitely is one of those "too good to be true" but people who did buy them said they got a confirmation email saying it would ship in a couple of weeks. Good luck to those who ordered.
No - because it's being sold by a Marketplace seller, which is why it's so dodgy. In all honesty I'm not sure what Amazon does in these circumstances if (or, should I say when) the TV doesn't turn up, since the purchase contract is not with Amazon directly but with the individual.
If you go to the last page of comments on giz, the people who placed orders are all getting cancellation emails on their items. This deal is/was a no go.
This was not by Amazon, but if Amazon itself makes a pricing error, they do not honor their prices.... Which IMO is complete bullshit. Ive ordered things from them which were not correctly priced, and Amazon will simply cancel the order. Its one of the reasons I wont order from them anymore.
Could be a ploy to get people to browse through the rest of his stuff for sale, he needed something to get peoples attention. maybe hell i dunno
If that TV was that cheap I would find the money some way to get one but since it isn't from Amazon but one of their Marketplace sellers it isn't worth dealing with. I really liked it when I could go onto Amazon and buy Transformers and other stuff from them without having to go through the BS of overpriced sellers and trying to find an item actually sold by Amazon.
