    It has begun...

This is the start of a commissioned 4-foot movie DOTM Prime statue. There will be LEDs, swords, posability and will speak quotes from the movie, courtesy of the built-in sound chip!

This is rough-draft, started cutting and placing the templates for his chestplate....may in fact end up being 4'3", hopefully closer to 4'6" when finished....

larger than life as always. I hope that head detail will do your work justice. I think it would look a lot less drab with just re-worked eyes, I believe eyes are a very "life giving" feature. otherwise a great head for a great statue.

Indeed, I totally agree man. I found another head for this project that had much better detail, but it was too damn small! :banghead:  I will definitely be adding some of my own detail to the eyes, horns and head-crest before it's all over, to give him the look he deserves.

That's the Optimus Prime electronic piggy-bank! Perfect size for this. And yep, this is my first oversized movie-figure custom, after the 30" TFTM Frenzy I did back in 2008.

Awesome! I'll be looking forward to seeing your progress, I know it'll be amazing.
Will people be able to still use the head as a bank and fill up the whole body? :)

The coin-function might actually still be working when it's done, one of the main reasons I used this head besides the size is, the built-in sound-chip! It says all kinda cool stuff from the movie & the eyes light up too!

I wish that were possible, but Megs has found another home a long time ago! I may have a 3-foot Shockwave to compare him to though

    Thanks man!
