I'm a complete sucker for WfC figures and an idea popped into my head.

What would you feel about 3rd party WfC figures?

If done well I would likely love them.

I'm pretty sure that'd be the general consensus. It's the size and price point that's a deciding factor.

While I'm a big fan of the WFC figs, I vote no. At least not at this point. I'd like to first see where the line goes officially and if it gets to the point where it has filled out, but still has a few holes, then maybe. But most likely no...not a fan of paying 3rd Party prices just for shits and giggles.

I'd buy them. I absolutely love the game styles.

It would make no sense for a third party to invest time and money into a WFC toy, since Hasbro is making them right now. There is a 50% chance ANY character a third party makes will end up being made by Hasbro in less than a year.

I think they should go for WFC/FOC that are without a toy release, something that H/T likely won't do (Omega Supreme, Trypticon, Metroplex).

I will pay goddamn near any price you name for a well-done ~Primus sized version of Omega Supreme, Trypticon, and Metroplex. If a 3rd party group is even remotely interested in doing this, please take my money, like right now.

I'd rather have more regular Classics stuff. I don't like the WFC designs much at all. They're just G1 designs but made fatter, added with TRON lines, and an alt mode which vaguely resembles an Earth vehicle. No thanks, especially for third party prices.

Hasbro has had two years to give us the toys we wanted from the first game, and like MANY other money-making opportunities, they passed. Those dreams lie dead with the many other wishful figures that were never realized.

I say let the third parties bring it. There is obvious demand for the larger figures that Hasbro won't make anyway. Even if Hasbro decided to backtrack and give us an Omega Supreme or Tryticon, it would be burdened with kid-friendly electronics and look like a hollow mess similar to Optimus Maximus...another champion idea from the house that says fans really don't matter that much in the big picture.

As a currently existing "line" (if you could even call it that), the Third Parties will have to ignore it for the time being however.

i'd be alright with some. but like most have said, they'd have to be done right. now, i'd love WFC Air Raid, Jetfire, Silverbolt, Barricade, Ironhide, and maybe a bulkier Bruticus with cannons on his back. or at least an Onslaught with a more full alt mode
