So enough time has passed since the might hercules came out.

I'm not a fan of MixMaster GunDrum.
Has there been any 3rd3rdparty stuff for a better drum?

Some where he can keep the drum in robot mode?

(post a link if you'd be so kind ^^)

CrazyDevy did one, but it's more like a re-shell than an entirely new drum.

Reprolabels set looks pretty damned good, that's what I did to solve the purple drum problem.

Personally, the mixing drum splitting into an armory's worth of weapons is what really enamored me to Madblender. Sure, it's a pain to get apart at first, but it's so cool IMO and not at all intrusive to Madblender himself.

Eh. no so much for me.

What enamored me to get Madblender was this guy called MixMaster.
And he had a mixxing drum on his back.

    Oh....very very nice looking.

But it not so much the color that bugs me, i can live with green. It's that you take off the drum in robot form.

I'm surprised we haven't seen one yet. I wonder if TFC would do another Rage set and include something like a new mixer.

I'm still waiting/hoping for someone to do a new crane for Hook that can fold down the back in combined mode so it doesn't stick out so damn much. It's one of the things about Giant that I really liked.

I don't know if this is the case for others, but I've been able to keep Mad Blender's mixing drum on his back. Here's what I did:

    1. I took the small, black, 'D' shaped plastic connector from the end of the drum, and turned it backwards (so that the flared end was facing out from drum).

    2. I took the two black gun handles, and inserted them on the sockets in Mad Blender's back, aligned vertically.

    3. I inserted the 'D' connector into its matching green socket; the flared end, and the angle at which the two gun handles push the drum out, seem to provide enough tension to hold the whole thing in place.
Of course, your own mileage may vary, and it's certainly not quite the same as having an actual, intended, built-in feature for holding the drum.

I don't think anyone actually cares enough to stick some unsightly back kibble drum on madblender. It only would work if it worked into the design like the sleekness of maketoys mixer barrel.

While true that the mixing drum must detach from the back when transforming into robot mode, as the backpack/Hercules knee assembly compacts down over that spot, there's another large hole right below the knee where it can be reattached and hang down. It's not quite the same as how G1 Mixmaster has his, but it does store there if you really don't want to utilize the insane amount of artillery. No modifying required.

I would...at least if it were done right. And it would be very easy to make a 3rd Party product for it to be done right. This post is might be useless without pics, but the barrel can be held in place on his back if you had a piece with a peg sticking down, and that piece could be made to look like the G1 driller box (or whatever you want to call it) above his head. Instant awesome...

This ^...I really dislike all the lines breaking up the drum in alt and combined modes...and I don't use the split apart gimmick anyhow...

I don't use that 'feature' either. While it was a cool idea, it just looks too busy and tacky.

Huh. Madblender's drum is one of my favorite things about the Herc set. Now if a third party could make a new truck cab sculpt...

Whenever I bring this up people get violent so I guess it only bothers G1 fans but the windshield looks too small. The MT Mixer alt mode looks better.

But I do have to add that the reprolabels set helps a lot with the look in both mixer and leg mode.

I dunno specifically... It's just a terrible cab sculpt. Yet Madblender remains my favorite Herc bot due to everything else he does right, including having an amazing name (second only to Dr Crank). :)

Speaking of Dr Crank and mixing drums on robots' backs, Dr Crank looks more like Mixmaster than Madblender does to begin with, and the cement drum easily fits on his back. Madblender really looks like Hook as well. Maybe he can do something with the crane.

    We shall meet at dawn...sir.
look at that violent reaction again ;P
The windsheild? I'd fix alot more things on these guys before worrying about that. (Starting with a Mixing Drum). But ya i see that.

    You'd mix-up MixMaster :O
    *takes off other glove....SLAP!*
    Man...two duals in one day.
