And here, I thought I was Elite because I'm a 3P masterpiece myself, what with me being a far more detailed, complex version of my G1 parents, going through college and graduate school and getting a professional license. Now you guys are telling me that all I had to do is buy a toy that does nothing but show the world what a horrible case of arrested development I have? What a rip. Totally want that 15 years back.

That said:

Nobody NEEDS a Powermaster Prime. Jeez.

You NEED a Ginrai though.

 

Hm. Yeah, except Ginrai was never in the comic or the cartoon so he means nothing to me. At least not any cartoon I ever saw. I wasn't even tempted by Power Baser until the comic upgrade set came out. If they do a reissue, I might have to think about it, but I tend to draw the line at $200 figures. The most I've ever spent on a single Transformer is $160 and even that is more than I really consider these guys to be worth. Well, unless you count Skylynx but he comes in two parts and both of those parts are bigger than any $160 Transformer so I made an exception for him.

MMC Hellion

 

I went through and reorganized my Decepticon display today, took a while but I think this photo actually turned out okay. These guys were weirdly hard to photograph as a group! My collection is finally to the point where it's more third party/third party MP than it is official stuff but it's still mixed as hell...

 

Transformed and all factioned up!

A few niggles with the Transformation and the joints (shoulders are a pain) but he looks spot on. A Hasui-era Jazz with a fantastic looking alt-mode and perfect body paint.



And yes - I left the door wings out. G1 Transformers = door wings. The shoulder tires I was less fussed about although the mould allows for it.

Now if someone could just make me a big-ass shoulder cannon!

Edit: Awwww, man. Old Binaltech 3rd party shoulder cannons to the rescue!
