I wanted one after playing the road rash demo in a store. but my dad saw the price tag and was like "no".
I just recently bought one for a friend of mine who collects systems. we were kind of making fun of it's intro/cd playback screens.
Always wanted one. When it came out, I got to play Fifa on there and was amazed. It was just a few years ahead of its time. Some cheaper components, a lower price and this system may have really been a player in the market. If you like old school FPS games, check out a great 3DO game called PO'ed.
I sold me NES and all the games I had (back then they were worth 10 bucks a game at pawn shops) and bought one and Road Rash. For a college dorm, it was the most popular thing. We had Road Rash gaming nights. In retrospect it wasn't worth the insane price, but the memories with Road Rash and Need for Speed keeps me from regretting it too much.
Road Rash kicked so much ass on it, everyone here loved the game. There was a really crazy russian game show type game with some wacky stuff in it as well that was pretty fun, I admit that Fifa was pretty good for it too. We luckily got our system from our cousin one year, then later traded it in. I still miss it.
