    Hey guys,

Thought it might be nice if we had a what are you working on thread for 3D guys. Most of the posts seem to be 2D art so why not everyone post their latest 3D pieces in here :) .

Here are two things I'm working on atm.

    Low Poly Soundwave.

    and

    High Poly Unicron

Besides the commission I'm working on, also trying to make my own version of Classics Nemesis Prime. Heres what I've done so far. Thinking of putting an airbrush flaming skull on the side of the truck or something. Not exactly sure yet...

Some damned good work going on here...just shame I ain't got time to do nothing at the moment (including sleep). :(

Without wanting to derail anything - Venks, just as a thought, what would NP's windows look like if the red was dropped to around a third of the current value? Just that the hue looks a bit intense, in my humble opine. :)

And Showster - gotta love that Unicron. :rock

Just a question before I'm ready to show my craptacular 3D render (compared to the work already shown, anyways) - how would one add textures in Blender? It might make my kinda cruddy render only sorta cruddy :p

Not happy about the windows myself. The window shader doesn't work well with a red color. Especially with the metallic shader for the inside parts. I'll definitely be changing it. :)

Since everyone here uses different 3d apps, your going to have a hard time developing your skills if you rely on us to help you with Blender. Its always different to do something between each 3d program. I can tell you how to apply a texture in XSI Softimage, but it won't work for Blender, since their totally different programs. I highly recommend for you to go find a forum dedicated to Blender users. Checking out the main Blender website is a good start. You can get way better help from other Blender users, who can also at the same time tell you exactly how to accomplish something in Blender. Here at TFW2005, we can help give you critiques, or suggest general 3d techniques. :)

Did a quick google search for you, and this might help, not sure though.

Been more than a year since I started working on this guy, and I've yet to do what I set out to do with him:

Wow, that is looking awesome! How many hours have you spent on it so far? By the way, did Don put up an alt mode for it?

Thank you. I am not too sure how much time is in it, about 10 hours maybe. I am a slow worker, lol. I don't think that he ever posted an alt mode for Vector Prime that I know of. I would like to see one though.

Hooray! He's done! Except for his lips...but whatever. I present: SANITRON!

    This is him walking:

Here he is with his weapon, a scraper/battle axe (he's a janitor, m'kay?), and his battle mask deployed.

This is what he transforms into (Cybertron mode of course - I can't do Earth vehicles):

And this shot took bloody forever, but I think it's worth it:

    Hooray for everybody!
