well I have made prop body armor for a movie...
...no way on earth, not going to happen...
well, make your own scale then it wont matter. Though like I said it before, I think a good scale would be to just start with normal bot mode Prime being a straight leader class like the other MP Primes and go from there.
However if we are talking scale, I actually have a question about Scattorshot. Did you resize his cyber key/port at all, or is it still the same size as the official ones?
Which then leads into the obvious question of potential future mini-cons/mini-con gimmick if you get into figures that feature it. which is a whole can of worms on its own when dealing with Armada. upscale them larger and start from scratch? leave the gimmick the same scale and not even include mini-cons? keep the mini-con gimmick port the official size for backwards compatibility? And all other such questions involving them.
oh hey, if you dont already know, DaimChoc Reports - ダイムチョック・リポーツ on facebook did a write up of your figure.
I messaged them yesterday about it, your welcome, lol
His key is regular size.
Though, I think for the minicons I'd scale them up. Like the official MP targetmasters. Not sure if attaching them would activate anything though. You could put one on a post and then "activate" the special ability manually. Probably going to have to nix the flip-out gimmick to give Superpants a wast and knees and ankles and all that.
I did notice that.
I doubt anyone would care if you removed the whole automatic activation thing entirely, especially on the crazier ones, like Hotshot's bazooka thing for example. lol. personally i encourage it, easier on you to design them i would assume, as well as less things to potentially break/weaken in the future and more freedom to pose things.
also yeah, screw that flip out thing, poseability all the way for superpants. would be interesting if you could still somehow implement a bastardized version of the base mode though.
I'll have to grab mine out of storage and take a look, but I'll sure try.
PS2 JaAm or Armada JaAm?
I'm not trying to be obtuse. They look pretty similar to me. I'd probably use anything I can get for reference.
What would you consider the major differences are.
I would have hoped a third party would pick up a design like this and brave a bold path of glory into the UT, but until then I'll definitely be supporting any effort that gives it a shot. Maybe shoot a post into the Third party forum to attract some more attention? I only saw it earlier thanks to the eternal efforts of @daimchoc. This has grown beyond just a radicons project surely.
It looks like you're trying to be fairly accurate to source material but if are up for taking a spin on things I have an idea. Have the Minicons integrate/transform/mesh into their partner bot by deforming somewhat. Without having to adhere to the port system you could say, have jolt deform a little and look like armor pack higher up on the back of a theoretical Hot Shot for when the wheelzooka comes out...instead of giving him a serious case of helecopter butt. If you're feeling bold you could go for original things like wrapping jolt around Hotshot's forearm with the helecopter blades out for like a saw weapon gauntlet. Whatever you do don't have them activate weapon gimmicks.
I got a good idea, how about a MP Energon Optimus Prime?
Pretty much just the colours I think. PS2 Hotshot looked more metallic and has a yellow pelvis whereas the anime wasn't metallic and had a darker shade of red, than the rest of his body, pelvis. The guns are different too, the anime version used his hood engine as a gun.
Could do extra parts, so you could chose the version you'd like to display.
Transformers Cybertron was the TV show I grew up with.
Its a shame third parties never really have touched the Unicron trilogy. It just seems they only want to make G1 and Beast Wars. The Michael Bay films have gotten some love to, which is nice, but I wanna see more Cyberton love. This gives me hope, so I thank you for making this. Scattershot was one of my favorite characters.
The Armada face looks childlike and wider. The PS2 face has sharper features and similar aesthetic similarities with G1 Masterpiece figures. (Probably best to make swappable faceplates.)
Yeah, I could do that.
Separate names with a comma.
