Yea my Direct TV receiver was just updated yesterday for 3D TV. I hope all the current LCD TV's that are not 3D price drop like a rock. I would love to pick up another LCD TV cheap. I would prefer 46" or larger.

YOU LUCKY BASTARD! You Trailbroke me!

I called ATT and asked if they would be broadcasting 3D ESPN and they said "not yet" so I'm missing the World Cup in 3D

Sony and Panasonic are about to enter the market. Competition should start really soon and prices will drop. I'm pretty happy with my Samsung though. And I didn't have to sell my body to buy it.

edit: I just called ATT and they will be launching ESPN3D this week. Woot!

The ability to play Wipeout in glorious 3D is tempting me to get a new TV.

Yup, I redownloaded Wipeout last night and Fury. I haven't had a chance to play it because we played Red Dead late last night, but hopefully when I get home, the 3D patch will be available for it. That's the one I'm the most excited about.. that and the Pacific Rift demo. Stardust might look pretty sweet also.

Oh and Trail. Called ATT this morning. Starting tomorrow morning, ESPN3D will begin pumpin!

Super Stardust looks mind-fucking-blowing in 3D. First time it actually felt like shit was flyin' out the TV.

How do I get the update? My PS3 thinks it has the latest version.

    EDIT:
Nevermind. It was the in the last (only) update.
I need to get one of the 3D games now.

When your ship explodes or you blow up one of the bosses, the sparks that fly out go deep into +Z plane and it feels like it flies over you. That game was definitely the most impressive, until....

After the sun set (since the sun goes right into our window, I tried Wipeout again, and that shit was Sick.. The Level Metropia (Smang you probably know this one), with the immediate drop.... Damn! I paused the game and went into photo mode and moved in in my ship and you could see the depth through the window into the little pilot.

Also, while the rumors that the games would be downresed is true, nothing that I played last night was "fugly" or unplayable. Wipeout was running smooth at 720 as was Motorstorm, and I think Stardust didn't lose resolution at all. Bring on MF Killzone 3!

Like I told Joe yesterday on PSN. I dunno where the technology is going, and it may flop for all I know, but this shit is awesome!

Also, woke up this morning to ESPN on Uverse. The World Cup isn't on yet, but they are showing looping 3D footage. Cheerleaders in 3D FTMFW!

But in all honesty, the two sports that looked the best in this promo were Golf and Extreme Sports. Football looked ok (probably because the cameras are way off from the central action).

I couldn't get 'Play in 3D' to become active. :(
I'm also not entirely pleased that it took 90 minutes to download the demos on PSN, but I switch over to the Xbox and downloaded the War for Cybertron demo and the the Earthworm Jim game in under 10 minutes.

Still, this is my first foray into PNS -err... PSN so I need to wait and see what the norm is.

This is what I get for being an early adopter.
    $400.

I need to wait and see if the price comes down first or whatnot.
If the LED TVs get larger than 55" I might just get one of them.

They do get larger...and very expensive.

Right now I think I'm gonna end up getting the 63" Samsung plasma, but it'll be awhile before I get my TV. I did just get about $500 worth of speakers, cables, keystone jacks, and recessed wall plates in order to wire everything up in my walls. Had to reorder some of it because I didn't realize I had to get in-wall rated cables.
