I've seen some amazing transformers artwork here over the past few years and thought I'd take a stab at creating some of my own.

Long Haul was my first serious attempt at creating Transformers in 3D. I started this way back in September 2005 but I didn't bother posting him until I had the rest of the team done. Which I do. So now I am.

C & C is welcome although I am painfully aware he needs a lot of work :D

    Enjoy,

    Chris

    Not Bad.
Maybe the reflections need a bit of work.

    Cheers nonetheless.

Thanks for the feedback! You'll notice they get a bit better with each one I did. I'll post the next one soon.

Seems the addressed issues are with reflection. What exactly is the problem and any suggestions on fixing it?

    Good job on Long Haul.

About the reflection, to me, it makes the model look too smooth. Maybe lessen the reflection somewhat, and try experimenting with a low power bump map. That'll give the model's surface a different look, and it will also affect the reflection. You'll end up with a not so smooth looking model. But make sure the model looks the way you want it. Looking forward to your next TF model. :thumb

yeah kinda shiny for something that plays in dirt all day. I thought about doing bump maps originally, but just went with a brand spanking new car paint instead. Bump maps will probably get worked into the version 2 models :D
