Working on a new project. Gotta render it in 3D before I can have a mold made. Hope to have this ready by Botcon. I will update this thread as I make progress. I hope you enjoy! This piece is as done as it will be until I get the rest done.

I can't tell you exactly what I'm working on. In fact, I'm heeding some advice I was given. This will be the only part I show in the thread until I have my mold made a test shot in hand. The Chinese bootleggers who are much faster at rendering and getting stuff produced might find the pictures and actually beat me to market should they decide to take my idea. You can speculate all you want, but I can't reveal this until done. Given the financial investment this will be and I'm only looking to break even, I can't afford any competition.

looks like a chest piece for megatron. guess the holes at the bottom part looks like it would a metal piece to "swing" on. makes sense to hide the head or something.

Looks like they are more like ball joints holes. And I also agree with the megatron theory. I'm just not sure what it is that you're doing here. either a whole new figure, that you might be willing to sell to others, or replacement parts for another figure. either way, very cool.

Def looks like a headmaster, the ball-joint sockets are for the arms/shoulders...and the legs will be hinged at the bottom to swing down from the back...

Yes. I'm on their 90 free trial. Got about 74 days left to get this thing completely done.

Who said anything about printing? I'm having a steel mold made and producing about a thousand of these. If things work out, you'll be seeing a new garage company debut.

something for galvatron? keep up the work, solidworks can do surfacing but its a pain in the ass compared to rhino or alias if you want more complex shapes than just a block with cut-extrudes on it and cut revolves :)

the way your ball joint is blocked in now it can't really rotate like a normal balljoint unless the arm you have coming off the ball is thinner than the female part opening :)  the way its modeled now looks like it can only move in one plane and it would be easier to use a nromal male-female joint if that's what you want ;)

good luck on the rest, can't wait to see the results!
