Wow. I'm actually disappointed that we haven't gotten an Optimus Prime figure, goddamnit.

 

Oh, that's gorgeous. Based on this, I need to start socking away for the (hopefully) inevitable Shatter and Dropkick releases. Like some other people in this thread, I'm willing to skip altmode for a really great robot mode, and these look fantastic.

 

Blitzwing wouldn't look out of place in a Macross/Robotech film.

That was before Hasbro got a stronger control of the film. Now, I'm sure Hasbro has a stronger input on the naming. Blitzwing may be a name chosen so they could keep using the trademark to prevent it from expiring or just something they had that was available and sounded cool for marketing.

Plus, with the little references to G1 that were scattered throughout the film, I don't think anyone is dumb enough to forget who Blitzwing was in the cartoon.

 

Nice! As good as bought. My only issue is that it doesn't scale with their deluxe Bee. BW (18ft in the film) should be almost twice as tall as BB (11 feet in the film). Oh, and the Airforce logo on the wings is up-side-down (or rather right-side-up).

It is kind of irritating that none of ThreeA's transformers releases (I have TF3 BB, OP, Megs, 2 SS's, TF5 OP and TF5 BB) and NONE of them scale with each other in the slightest. They all look great on their own but they look really bad next to one another.

 

Remember when 3A Classic Optimus got two repaints?

I think when they eventually get to doing Cybertronian Seeker, we should get three colours.

 

So, pretty much par for the course across all TF lines.

This is the perfect line to do Shatter and Dropkick, there's always some compromise with Triple changer toys so as action figures they wont be hindered like that

Yep that is 3A's biggest weakness, IMO. Why they don't produce characters that scale with each other is beyond me.

 

Sorry but this will always be starscream to me. So I’ll buy it, and have an awesome looking starscream.. haha

 

What happens when they do a 3A starscream?

 

Interesting about his height, if it was (8 1/2” top of head), it would match the MP Seekers height....you could have your G1 representation pair w/ the movie version
