If its the same one as the one for sale on ebay, it would be a 1994 Peterbilt.

I think it's a 1996, watch the special features on the CE DVD; they tell you he's an older truck that was just rebuilt

Externally, I don't think there's any difference a new 379, and an old 379. Change in the exterior usually comes with a change in the number. The 379 was an update to the 359. The 379 was phased out early this year and replaced with the 388 and the 389. I was actually surprised that they didn't use a 389 for the movie, but I guess Peterbilt didn't supply the truck.

    Money

Money was the factor. If you watch the special features they tell you they used a culmination of older 379s and just customized them into the Op that we saw in the movie. It was cheaper to use an older model that cost less. Plus it is senseless to take a brand new truck, dismantle it, then replace the majority of new parts with customized parts. Easier and cheaper to take a collection of older trucks and add new customized parts to it.

They're junk and overpriced. Buy a Mack or Volvo they ride better, and have more features! :D

Just joking, you need to be more specific with your question. I don't understand what you're asking.
