I would much rather have accessories and surprises focused solely on Optimus Prime instead of them using that space and budget for another character.

 

Like I said, just include the G2 accessories in MP style and scale.

 

If Huffer was in the trailer, we would have known by now.

According to tfwiki, his original toy was not based on any specific make or model. I don't see Takara getting licensing for this

 

Dobut he would be included, unless they did a bandai and the first 100 came with a Huffer. I think he would be an individual release either before or right after 3.0. The rumor of a minibot pretty much points at him at this point.

 

Please no Huffer, already got the Badcube one and he is pretty dope.

Curious about where this whole huffer thing started? Don\'t get me wrong I would love to see takara tackle a masterpiece huffer. I just don\'t think he will be included with prime. It would make more sense for him to be an individual release. Prime will most likely come with character specific accessories. 

 

Orginally Hasui made an attempt to include him as an accessory with MP-10.

 

I wish they'd gone ahead and made that Huffer anyway in the Hasui era as an independent release. It looks as detailed and on point as the very best of his output in the Datsun bros., tenfold better than Bumblebee, and would've fleshed out the minibot ranks (albeit, to the grand total of two!  )

That said, it remains to date the only unmade masterpiece we have a detailed pencil draft of (beyond rare!) so I'm hopeful - even if not with OP V3 - a version of it will eventually see the light of day. 

 

I always pictured/imagined huffer as a "hostler", and these are what we use every single day to move trailers around in our yards. If he were to be a "real life vehicle", he would look like this... imo.


But to be close to cartoon accuracy, see the OP I quoted below with their insight. Might not be strong enough to actually hostle, but it looks closer to the toon'.

 

Probably they will choose to release Huffer individually, but if Optimus Prime v3's price is high, they can justify the price with Huffer

True statement. The one thing I believe is keeping a leash on a higher opening price is the very fact of MP-10. Too high a price and people will be "satistfied" with their MP-10s and see no need to make the jump to a V3. TT could sale it at a high price but sacrifice moving less units and that's poor business. Elita-1 or Alpha Trion better be in that trailer to justify such a high price. Come to think of it, TT can get by with a non-transforming Elita-1 and Alpha Trion and I'd be okay with that.

 

Truth is, I recently (finally) got MP10 (*so I'm biased maybe), and the front of this V3 looks soo goood. The proportions look spot on, from the front. But that back(pack), doesn't give me that slender Prime I wanted. So I'm on the fence on this (and usually the backpacks I'm OK with).
