now that looks better than the blurry picture but still a tad concerned on how the back is going to look .... that head sculpt tho  

 

Nice surprise @Sam and @Dean ML ought to get a kick out of it. Actually I was expecting something this figure king. This looks to be the same pic showed at the show, The legs are still the same and the cropped the cab side with the weak tolerances.

 

Takara knows what fans want.. Cant wait

I need to see the back, it doesn't look as solid in the body as Mp-1 and Mp-10 did all around. (At least from these shots)
Chest is obviously different from front of cab, so looks like there will be some kind of major switch and some kind of cheat.

 

That head...

 

I wonder if he will get a MP number or if they are just going to call him 35th Anniversary MP Prime forever...

 

Looks like the forearm detailing, the arrows with the lines behind them, are translucent pieces. Very cool and very clever. This allows them to be cartoon accurate red while making them pop against the arms' red paint.

 

Since others are coming out the woodwork I'll just mention that there was a channel in Australia that ran the original cartoon when the first film came out but before Animated, so that would have created some fans. Not all of them go round with Death's Heads avatars, some might even have gotten on with their lives, but I assume other countries must have raised fans on reruns.

Anyway, how is that head MORE accurate? Don't get me wrong, I am clinging on to MP 10 but damn is Prime looking good. At this point I'm probably already sold but as long as I don't admit it, hopefully they sweeten the pot with some battle damage and/or a basketball.

 

Im hoping he's his own designation so they could release him anywhere. If he was numbered, I would prefer 50, they made Sixshot 50 in the LG line and he got a flimsy but retro box, so they do pay attention tion to that stuff. And 50 would mean some more releases before he's released.

I really need to see some action shots, they atleast could have given us one 

 

One detail that's not immediately clear here on this shot of the grey proto is the triangular bevel at the bottom of the chest above the grill. It's definitely there, though. That bit's going to look great when this is painted up and properly lit.

Yeah I’m definitely passing on this one. Not only does it use the faux grille, but now we’re doing faux chest windows too now. No thank you. I’ll stick with the new 3rd Party one. That one looks better than this and doesn’t use faux parts.

 

It does look great, but having fake windows and a fake grill all at once seems a bit much.
