WTF @ TFW - Supplemental 27 - Even Listener Question Escalation - July 15 2010 The crew of 104 tackle another whack of backlogged listener questions. They will not be doing this every week. We have Sprite Zero here in the US too noobs. But was does surprise me is the ability Vangelus has to take a "quick long sip" of it.
Regarding the question about "breaking the mold" for the show I gotta say I've always had a couple ideas I'd like to make into fiction I would like to see some kind of post decepticon rule on earth where the decepticons have won and the last bit of autobot forces attempt to free the straggling humans while optimus is busy with the war on cybertron post megatrons death. My other idea? a buddy cop with batman/big-O kind of villains. Just my two cents.
Since it's been mentioned in a couple of recent questions, what is the correct place to submit listener questions? EDIT: Nevermind. I actually finished listening and heard our gracious host give the answer.
For cheapo Power Rangers RPM Megazords, my secret has been the Marshalls near here. Grabbed a Paleomax Megazord a couple months ago for $15, there was a ValveMax there today for $12. It's not a guarantee of anything, but if you have a Marshalls, TJ Maxx, or another similar kind of store, they might be worth hitting up to see what odd gems you might find.
whoa..somehow I missed this one and finally got around to listening to it.. To clear up my last question..I probably should've explained the motivation a bit more..but kinda figured my other two questions were already too long winded. I was really asking due to the stance some people take on the whole K.O./non-hasbro product being of third party figures..which are really just customs..(albeit with generally more production awesomeness); and also the somewhat contrasting stance of kitbashing/ repainting/customizing. So, do people take to say a F.R. or N.P. customized 'K.O'/non-hasbro' product more than they do the product straight from the 3PP? Although I'm sure everyone's moved on from this thread and noone will read my clarification, I felt like typing a bit anyway..
You know, it's funny that just while you were going on about the listen question about Transformer origins, I remembered my insane idea that Primus and Unicron, as well as the Transformers were the product of a Technological Singularity where Seed AI (Primus and Unicron) had exponentially increased in intelligence to the point of godhood, whereupon Unicron totally disassembled his solar system and reassembled it into his new body, a Jupiter Brain (Planet Sized Computer). Unable to prevent the extinction of his creator race, the human-like Primacrons, Primus uploaded their brain scans into the Vector Sigma \ Allspark database, and the uploaded Primacron minds became what was know as Transformers' sparks. Primus reshapes an uninhabited solar system into his new body, a Dyson Sphere known as Cybertron. The remaining Primacrons who had fled the destruction of their solar system eventually evolved into the Quintessons, who are basically like Daleks whose bodies are so atrophied they must live in cybernetic shells, and desire revenge on the AIs that destroyed their culture. So I managed to reconcile the Primus, Primacron and Quintesson origins, and make it hard science fiction, cyberpunk like Neuromancer and Accelerando plus a bit of Doctor Who. In conclusion? I put WAY too much thought into this. I blame Accelerando. It'll blow your mind. ...But that origin would be totally awesome.
